For those of you who need help
I recently bought Ikaruga yesterday with the week of the deal thing going on for Ikaruga, I was hesitating to buy it because everyone said "OMG SOOO HARD" but it's challenging is all. It's not as annoying as I thought it would be. It doesn't make me want to smash my TV, it makes me want to work harder. As a beginner I'm doing pretty well as I've unlocked stage 4 in my first hour of gameplay. But for those of you who are having trouble with this game all I can say is to knock up your settings to continues and get in 8 hours of gameplay to unlock infinite continues as it says there. Once you have the infinite continues you should breeze through the game with a nice 5/12 achievements.

The game really isn't that hard, I'm learning more and more as I play. Like consuming the same color dots as me and using it as an attack. I never knew about that until about 20 minutes ago. It helped me beat the third boss. Other than that all I can say is to keep playing and practicing until you reach 8 hours of gameplay. By the time those 8 hours are up you should be almost pro and have inf continues at the same time. With one hour of practice I learned all the powers in and out and I understand the game and how it works not to mention after that one hour I'm now able to complete the first mission with out dying. So for those of you who're having trouble hang in there and wait it out for the infinite continues. It does help.

Glad to see you're determined, it's a very rewarding game if you stick with it, keep it up.

Also for anyone interested in learning, www.ikaruga.co.uk has some excellent, and I mean excellent videos for all difficulties. Most of the stuff won't be doable for a long while if you just got the game but it will open your mind to all the things you can pull off.

Re: For those of you who need help
I've put in about 2 hours now and I just unlocked the third level last night. Was trying it on hard mode to challenge myself. I'm getting way better at switching fast now. But no man, no one will be pro after 8 hours.. try like 100 hours to be pro.
