Welcome to the official/unofficial Gamerparents monthly (hopefully) gaming night! This is a thread created for two specific purposes. First and foremost for fellow Gamerparents to game together with people more their ages and possibly have things in common with. Second, and just as important to serve as a meet and greet for new and old Gamerparents.
I know that, as a parent myself, making commitments like this is hard. Having a family means that schedules can change most often with very short notice. Not to mentioned the other things that can come up with family. So, if you can make it that would be great. If you cannot, don’t worry about it.
The way this works is simple. We get together once a month on a set day, it will be posted below. In the two weeks starting from the day after the game night is when we start nominating games for the next time. The only criteria are that the game has co-op (4 or more players) or/and multiplayer capability. After that period of time passes the game that wins the vote for that month will be posted with a reminder of said day, date and time. In the two weeks after voting is when you sign up if you’re interesting in playing for that night and game. That period of time will also be used to determine how many are interested in playing and how many room leaders will be needed. The only other thing to consider is that a game cannot be nominated for a consecutive month if that game was just played. That way we can assure that we have some variety. Any game is up for grabs. Don’t worry if it’s popular or not or if a lot of people have it or not. This is about bringing many people of differing backgrounds together to game. There are plenty of games that will be played that I don’t have but may consider renting it for that specific play date. Maybe you should too as it will give you an excuse to try a game that you don’t own. Plus it will be fun.
The following is a friendly reminder. The COC will be enforced both in this thread and in the game sessions. Moderators and ambassadors will check this thread (just like other threads in these forums) and may even be involved in the gaming from time to time (probably more than you realize). So no flaming, trolling, phishing or spamming in these threads. No abusive language, disruptive behavior or anything inappropriate of any nature. You will be reported and possibly banned. Again these threads are to vote for games to play, find out the game being played and to meet and greet. Sorry about the wall of words, but I wanted all bases covered here. Please enjoy.
