When do you think ESPN NFL 2K5 will be able to play on the Xbox 360?

I really wish it would become backwards compatible because even today this games fanbase is huge and its far better then any of the Maddens released lately.

Tall order here fellas. Being that NO Madden game present or past is BKWD compat. ESPN 2K wouldnt have a prayer.

Let alone ESPN NFL 2K5 especially since its clone just came out.

Oh wait the 2K5 clone is out and its called ALL PRO FOOTBALL 2K8..Minus the NFL license.

 

closest we'll see any football game from xbox 1 make the cut is NCAA 2006..and this currently is bkwd compat.

If our gamertag showed xbox1 games you'd see I still play 2006 with semi updated rosters to somewhat match the 2008 upcoming season.

I don't think we will see it either.  Maybe because of the licensing issue where EA has the rights now.

I really wish it would be though, my favorite football game.

further i'd sit down and take whatever time it takes to edit the rosters to make them current. and never buy a madden title again. if the backward compat team EVER does that trust me I will sit and edit each team roster to match that of Current Day!!!! the only thing that'd ruin the game is if league expansion ever happens that part i cannot edit or alter. I will make a website and give my rosters to anyone that wanted them being xbox 1 saves aint policed so hard like 360 gamesaves are.

even if I did that the rosters would still be that of 2005 and i'd still have to sit down and edit them.

I once upon a time had a XBOX1 and i sold it at the time as 1. i was about to be between jobs and needed $ and 2. i was buying more titles for PS2 at the time over Xbox1.

Looking back at that ebay sale i made, and how much just isnt bkwd compat current day, i do regret doing that sale.  It woulda been nice to have had both, but this getting xbox 1 now for a handfull of xbox 1 games that still not seeing the backwd compat list, maybe you have a point, cant get the red ring of death on that XBOX1 console!!

yeah im way happier playing nfk2k5 on reg xbox on live , a good match on that game is greater then any 360 game ive played , im so happy my 360 is not in my possession anymore /.its pointless each game is fun for 10 minutes then the achievements ruin it

I know this response is late, but there are two things wrong with what you've been saying.

1. You could not actually go in and update the rosters for NFL 2k5 if it was made backwards compatible. That's 3 years worth of rookies not in the game and you can only create 20 players. The game caps you on how many changes you can make to current players as well. Once you reach this cap, you can no longer update players. You will get a message that the database is full.

2. With a Gameshark, you can download updated rosters for 2k5. Flynn's Editor is a program that is free to download that allows you to make unlimited changes to this game and upload the changes to a memory card. I have the program at home and it's easy to use. Unfortunately, my Xbox crapped out on me so I haven't messed with it in awhile. You can even edit the season schedule to mimick the actual 2007 season or whenever.

yeah this wont see the 360 because there is no money in it for them since they cant resell this game anymore with no nfl lisence damn ea and there money , i dont even bother with 2k5 its to old, once in a while i play it 2 player cuz its fun as heck, but all pro2k8 is even better just get good and play it online because single player isnt as good as online

yeah it would take too long..i could not imagine how many man hours it'd take to complete it..ugh

please, please, please, can u guys put  NFL 2K5 on the 360 this is the best football game ever so i need to play it on my 360. So hurry up guys and lets get working on this thank you.

aint gonna happen man, ea bought the nfl rights.and there is no money in it for them because they dont make this game new anymore,get a xbox 1 or just play 2k8 like everyone else its better

I have had my Xbox since December 25, 2002.

in feb 2004 I had an xbox-1 and i wasnt buying titles for it..so I sold it by christmas 2004.

since i was still playing many games on PS2..

I have since righted that wrong and have been back to the xbox world --> on my 360 since May 2007. My Ps2 now sits silently. Times they do change!

yeah ps2 is kool. for like mlb07theshow, but thats it, nowadays its all about multiplayer. playing someone real is the best way to go, but yeah 360 is where its at now. i cant stand playing games alone for somereason

I am about to give up hope on this...it isn't a license issue as you can play the PS2 version on PS3. I'd play this game over Madden 07 or 08 anyday (and I am not a Madden basher...just want something enjoyable as 2K5).

Well it's about time...it's back.

Seeing how I can't update the rosters on Xbox 360 perfectly there is no reason to play it on Xbox 360 anyway.  Still a good update though.  I just wish we could have had Driv3r on there also.

A complete 360!!! by MICROSOFT!!holy cow ..unbelievable this game got flipped for 360 play...the prior user made a comment in his post, can anyone re-confirm that the rosters CANNOT be edited? ot trades made?? anyone here feeling the twist of your arm for the EA licence here not allowing you to trade or make edits to a roster..

i thought this game would never see the light of day on 360..The again this 11/2007 update was indeed a strange one.. in combing the sports forums here i saw a few gripes were answered, im only combing sports titles

Arena Football the 1 one and only EA title made for the Arena Laegue was made BC

Burnout 2 made the cut being the new title is out in January 08 why not have a few peeps jump on the earlier titles for a few bucks

Fight Night round 3 from 2006 made the cut..newer then the other fight night that was made BC back in July

Fifa 06 why? High Heat 2004 why? Rugby ?

Guess the 2004 AMF bowling game was to simply add a bowling title for 360, being the wii advertises so much the bowling in their sports bundle.

MVP Baseball 2003 & 2004 made the cut : being 2K has the licence..Wonder if rosters can be edited here or FROZEN.

Couple of older NASCAR titles 2002/2003 ..

The 1st online basketball game b4 the partnership with EA was made for xbox live , NBA Inside Drive, then older street versions became BC with NBA Ballers and NBA Street 3 made the cut.. Few more older hockey games both from 2K and EA

March Madness 2006/2005 also now BC ..Some of 2K's earlier titles of College Basketball made the cut also 2K3/ 2K5

Back to Football the SUPER OLD NFL 2K2 & 2K3 made the cut, ah memories of the dreamcast i looved 2k in its infancy!!

FYI you can edit the rosters and make trades you can also download the last roster update which was 2005 to gice you a little headstart on updating the roster

However as ar as I can tell if a player wasn't playing prior to the last update I don't think your going to have any luck

This is an objective question and not a flame...why are we concerned about roster updates? Don't people play Franchise mode? You will end up with generic players over time anyway...
