I can't putt.... Lol.
I always do well, hitting, and all that, but when it comes to putting, I stink. Anyone give me any tips/advice on how to putt? Thanks.

My next two games:
CoD: MW2 - 11/10/09
Rogue Warrior - 12/1/09

Just like the real game, reading the green and consistent putting is the toughest skill to master. I'm not great at putting but I'm getting better by completing all the Tiger Challenges and if I remember correctly they have either a tutorial or a practice range for improving putting. Once I'm more adept with putting then I'll hit the pga tournaments, not before.
Good luck!

I'm pretty much lights out if you get me within 25 feet of the hole and it's actually pretty easy, but it does take some playing around. Depending on how fast the little lines are moving, you assign a number of "taps" of the directional pad in the opposite direction of the movement. Start with the line at or just before the whole and do the required number of "taps" (make sure they're quick or it'll throw your system out of whack) per line going from the hole to you. It should take you about 20 rounds or so to get a real hang of it and I'd recommend playing on Balanced so that you can try out the system and use the "Putt Preview" AFTER you've tried to see if you were right or how far you were off.

Some notes though:
- Make sure you press the "back" button (a.k.a. "select) on a hole to check the "speed" of the greens. "Fast" to "Average" generally require the same amount of taps but "Very Fast" will require more taps.
- Putting with the 10 feet "power" requires you to double the amount of taps, 5 feet requires you to triple, and 2 feet quadruple

By using that system, I can now hit a 50ft+ putt 1 out of every two times.
