So, there isn't going to be an Episode 3???
I went to PAX 2008 and decided I should play Episode 1 of this game before going.  Well, I bought the game but didn't actually get around to play it until this last weekend.

Well, I enjoyed it so much, I immediately played Episode 2.  I finished it this morning and just did a google search on Episode 3.  I found a thread at Penny Arcade's site that claims the game is in limbo.  Which people tend to think means the game will never see the light of day.

This kind of bums me out.  I was really enjoying the games and had the idea in my head I'd have 2 more episodes.  I guess the first 2 must not have sold well enough to justify 2 more.  This forum shows the lack of interest in the game as well.  Not many people discussing the game anymore.

I think part 1 did alright but part 2 was one of the lowest selling XBLA games.  Want to find out how well a game sold, go to "All Arcade" on your dashboard, then go to "best selling" and go to the bottom.  There it is not far from the real garbage.  Maybe it being the Deal of the Week will increase it's sales as I'd like to see the other episodes as well.  But really, they charged way too much for these simple games, especially the first one.  Hope they learned a lesson.

Yeah, I didn't buy the first one until it was Deal of the Week, as I heard how short it was.  When I got it I did enjoy it, but I was glad I only dropped 800 points on it.  While I wanted to continue on, I refused to buy episode #2 until it was 800 points or less.

Naturally, as it's now the deal I picked it up and have started to play.  I'm not very far into it, but so far it feels just like the first did.  My gut instinct is a lot of people who got the first one felt it was too short for the money, and/or were like me and assumed #2 would go on sale eventually since #1 did.  Honestly, I was surprised it happened as soon as it did (I figured I'd need to wait a year).

In my opinion, future versions should just open at 800 points.  I think a lot of people have a threshold of $10 for this arcade stuff, and those products that ask for more need to be exceptionally shiny to really sell.

i love this game and maybe they should set the price to 800MSP to boost the sale, good game, but most ppl consider it overpriced without a full story
