Well, IMO those are at least more interesting than results of any online games, which show nowhere. And don't get me wrong, I like playing online both versus and OTP. But most of the time I really don't care a lot if I'm winning or not, since it doesn't matter anywhere (without proper rankings and/or tournaments).

At least the achievements are something to aim for.

1. No, achievements are more interesting than the results of the (individual) games. I do enjoy playing games, but the results don't really matter.

2. In club games the system works better, though there is room for improvement. But I also play versus games and the point system there is a joke.

Maybe I should then ask you if you have played other games? I mean games where things like these have been done better.

those points will be more exciting than being a level 4 community user with no gamerscore. do u just troll forums running your mouth? and who r u calling a nerd? your gamerscore is almost 2x what mine is. can u think of a better way to get this achievement? i don't kno 14 other people who have this game. since last i posted this i have gotten the achievement, found about 30 other people to play some online hockey with(its more fun playing with friends and easier to find a game when u have people to play with) as well as other games and made a ton of friends. online hockey is really fun sometimes. the achievements allow u to game with a purpose. if u get bored with just playing the game straight up over and over, this gives u the opportunity to shoot for something other than the same old boring game play. the harder the achievement the greater the sense of accomplishment. im not worried about rankings and wins since people constantly quit or get booted off or cheat and the new nhl is coming out soon. all for fun.

Hey, I just picked this game up cheap 'cos of NHL 10 coming out, the price is dropping. Would love to join to get the achievement and for some online hockey action. Going on the reviews it seems NHL 10 isn't much of an improvement so I'm hoping people will still be playing this online for a while. I suck btw! Played one ranked online team game so far and got killed 4-2.

i dont know what reviews you read, but 10 is a huge upgrade over 9.
