Great game!
I gotta say... I didn't know what to expect when I brought home my four used games last weekend.  Normally I've got at least one or two titles in-hand that I have heard about, read about, played a demo for, or been psyched about and chompin' at the bit to play... but not this time.  I couldn't find any titles that fit that description on this particular trip.  But, I needed some new games to play, so I was just gonna have to pick a few and hope for the best.

Turns out, it was one of the best used-game buying excursions I've had so far!  I got the racing game, 'Grid', which is probably my favorite racing game I've ever played up to this point!  I was WAY pleased with 'Far Cry 2', which to me is like a jungle/guerilla-warfare style 'Grand Theft Auto' game... in short, it rules!  I picked up the WW2 assassin game, 'Velvet Assassin', which is not quite as good as 'Hitman: Blood Money', but still a game that I'm happy with and won't be getting rid of anytime soon.  And the one I bought solely because I've seen it there time after time and was less than $10... 'Lost Planet'.  The fact that it was apparently good enough to warrant a 'Platinum Hits' edition also factored into my decision to get the game (though I didn't get the 'PH' edition).  Turns out I couldn't be happier with the game... it's great!  Killer graphics, killer gameplay, cool story, lots of cool weapons and vehicles, and enemies the size of friggin skyscrapers... it's amazing!  I always loved that grappling hook in the game 'Rygar' (or whatever it was called)... and the one in this game is way-cool too.

I've only had a 360 since xmas '08... so pretty much EVERY game is 'new' to me.  But most of the older games I play don't have anyone playing them online anymore.  Is that the case with 'Lost Planet' too?  And, can anyone tell me the differences between 'Lost Planet' and 'Lost Planet: Colonies Edition'?  Besides the fact that they aren't compatible online?  I'm still wondering if I should take back 'LP' and get 'LP-CE'?  If 'CE' has all the same stuff as the original, and then some, I don't see why I shouldn't... but I'd like to know first if everything from the original is in that one as well?  Anyone?

Re: Great game!
I picked Lost Planet collector's edition up at Gamestop for $9.99.  I've only played the first couple of missions and it seems pretty decent.  Best looking exploding barrels I've ever seen in a video game.
