here's my situation. i bought the booster packs back in 2004. i tried to play on my 360 the other day, and the DLC menu seemed to indicate that i would need to pay for the content again.
i checked my account history, and found that the booster packs were listed as "canceled." i called xbox customer support. i got a few different stories from the girl on the line, and i am inclined to believe she didn't really know what she was dealing with.
she told me that the content had been canceled only one month after purchase. i told her that i was never informed that the content was temporary. she told me that it was a monthly pay service for those boosters. did any of you guys pay a monthly fee for these boosters back on xbox 1?
then, she told me that i hadn't transferred the licenses to my 360. in the download history, there are no xbox 1 items listed. it starts with 360 purchases. then, she told me that because it's V1, i couldn't be reimbursed.
then, when i called BS on that, she said that i would need to rebuy it on 360, so i asked if all the halo 2 users rebought their maps? my question was ignored. of course, it's possible that all those maps were free by then, though.
to double check on this business, i popped in pgr2, and went to the DLC screen. there is no mention at all in the purchase agreement of a temporary purchase. i checked the official xbox and bizarre sites for info on the DLC, and no one has any mention of this being a 1-month purchase. i don't see why my DLC was canceled.
