Good Job/ Musashi's Way Achievements?
So I've only done one playthrough, and when I started the game, I set the difficulty to hard right off the bat and never changed it. I finished mission 9, and got the achievement for finishing that (and all the other missions) but I never got the Good Job achievement, nor did I get Musashi's Way. I've noticed some other posts around here mentioning that Good Job didn't come up for a lot of people, and the post at MS.com explaining how to get Musashi's Way isn't very helpful:

"Achievement “Musashi’s Way”

The achievement “Musashi’s Way” cannot be unlocked even if the player starts “New Game” and completes all missions on hard difficulty level.

To unlock this achievement, the player needs to complete Mission 1 again (free mission mode) and then, completes Mission 9."

So... Does this mean I need to start mission 1 again on "hard", and after completing that do I just go straight to mission 9 and replay that on hard? Do I need to play the whole game through again (missions 2-8) too? Do they have to be set on hard (I'm assuming it's a yes for that)?

And, if I do that, and get Musashi's Way unlocked, I would hope they stack and I will get Good Job too - ?? Anyone have any luck with resolving this? I did run the update before I even started the game. There was also a point midway through, that a few times in a row trying to load the game, it would freeze on the screen where you choose the memory device to save to (in my case, the hard drive). So I cleared my 360's cache, and the problem hasn't come up again since, and my saves all seemed to be in tact. I did have to run the update again though, and I think it was after I cleared my cache.

Also, I was trying to go back and see if my mission stats said what difficulty I played on, but they don't say anything about that. I was a little worried because while playing mission 9 (late last night lol), I was intentionally trying to unlock the easy modes by by dying 10x in a row, then missing 10 QTE pushes in a row. When I hit the 10th QTE miss, I remember a brief message coming up that said something about easy mode I think, and I don't remember if I hit A without thinking (therefore resetting myself to easy), or if it just automatically did it. Don't remember any messages coming up with dying 10x in a row though.

Guess I'll start off by simply trying to replay mission 1 on hard, then going straight to mission 9 on hard (again) and see if that works. I hope I don't have to play the whole game again in order, simply because mission 9 got set to easy mid way through!

Re: Good Job/ Musashi's Way Achievements?
You'll get the cheevo only at the end of mission 9, but here's the catch. You won't get it if you jump to mission 9 in free mission mode, you gotta go to mission 9 thorugh another way on the menu, i believe it's by resuming story mode or such. From the player's perspective you will be doing mission 9 on hard anyway, but inside the game you will be in the story mode and updating the game completion achievements at the end. It's been a while but I recall doing mission 9 on hard about 3 times before figuring this out. Anyway, I hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice QCteamkill. I've replayed the different missions now in so many different ways, I've kind of resorted to just replaying every mission in order on hard again at this point, and seeing if it will unlock after that. If it doesn't, then I'll try to launch the correct missions in the correct way. Right now just trying to get an overall A score (grr - mission 3 is making that difficult), so I can get the fully upgraded twin falcon blades.
