The last time I purchased a Madden title was in 03. In 04, I fell in love with 2K Football with Warren Sapp on the cover. After 04, 2K sports football was my game of choice and Madden had been banned from my collection. But today, I am getting the itch to play some NFL sim football and I am coming close to going out and purchasing Madden 10. Dont get my wrong, I am a 2K fan by blood. So, if any of you friends have played Madden 10, tell me your thoughts and opinions. Thank you for your comments and I to cannot wait til the day when 2K rises from the grave.

Closest Madden has come to 2K series.  I have Madden 10 and recommend it highly.  It is getting to where 2K5 and APF left off.  APF would be heads above if they continued their working the series.  But Madden is definetly in the right direction now.

5 years after 2K5 is released, Madden 10 comes out trying it's best to BE 2K5.  It's almost there.... there are several bugs, the running game is crap and rushing the QB is almost an impossibility.

Give it a couple more years for them to tweak the engine and to completely emulate 2K5 and I'll buy it.

Running game isn't crap,

What's crap is people who try to sprint when the quarterback hands them the ball and get mad because they over-run their blocking.

Rushing the QB is great in this game also.

So, I really don't know where you're getting this.

True,  you must learn not to sprint right away.  you have to wait and hit hole.  It is similar to real football.  not every run will be for big gains but you must not abandon it.

I gave into the itch. I regret it, sold mine. 

I dont really care for the new madden.Not only does it feel like the same game as always it has way to many bugs.The commentary is horrible.Online is a mess.

Im more of a 2k fan anyways.Ive been playing the series from the first days of the Dreamcast.I think nfl 2k1 is a better football game than the new madden and that was 10 years ago.

I hope 2k puts out a new football game next year....

I definitely can't wait,
