Hey so I thought it might be a good idea to start getting some friends going ready for when ODST hits.

I know Firefight will be alot different to Halo 3's multiplayer, but if you play H3's, then post a couple of your highest skills and what playlists they are in. That way other people can see whether they're around the same skill. If you want also, post a link to your stats.
Personally, I'll find it alot better playing Firefight with similarly skilled players, and I'm sure alot of you would agree.

So I'll get it started:
Lone Wolves - 40
Team Slayer - 35

Lol Sold xbox long time ago.

Not to sound to cocky but I'm pretty decent. The thing is, I don't play much ranked. I've always stuck to Social Slayer so my highest skill is 15

But I'm a 3 Star - 2 Striped (Stripped?) whatever in Social Slayer. And I've only been playing since February, with 3 months off while I was in the US, so I think it's pretty decent. I've always wanted to get a higher rank but I don't like playing with people I don't know, I always end up on the side that loses because the other side is all in a party. I don't have a team to work with.

Always wanted to join you in Squad Battle, Vex, but am just too ashamed of my low high skill level, lol.

I'll be playing alot a firefight, so sign me up.

Also, your rank in PvP matches does not dictate how skilled you will be in firefight.

I've already got my pre-order in for ODST, firefight is gonna make my hands bleed. lol

from the video footage that I've seen of firefight (first real preview from MLG pro circuit Dallas) it looks like its gonna be a better than horde on gow2.

as for my skill level with halo 3 i only been playing it for a couple of months and just got all map packs in the last week so my ranked match skill is only just starting to go up but a couple of my highest so far are:

social slayer: 51
MLG (ranked): 12

51? It only goes up to 50. He means the rank not the EXP you've earned.

Thanks for your replies guys, it'll be good to have a decent amount of people added so that whenever you're in the mood to play some Firefight, there'll be more of a chance of a group of peepz to be on

True, but in a way it will. Most of the weapons from Halo 3 will be in Firefight, and you'll also need to use the same sort of team work to win in it.

My Highest skill is 11. Unfortunately they removed my preferred playlist so i have to focus on others now.

Basically, I have not played halo 3 multiplayer for a while now and I dont really ever remember getting my skill that high, I think just past 20 on lone wolves. I didnt ever play much halo 3 multiplayer, but I can still play well.


Anyway, firefight is different and I can already think I how I'll be playing it, it looks like alot of fun but also a good challenge to face when trying to beat waves with a team.

You start off with the silenced SMG and the (sexy) silenced pistol. Neither of which are in Halo 3. there are the covenant weapons, but hardly anyone uses those in matchmaking. I've yet to see any BR yet, either. If you have some vid proof I'd love to be proven wrong. And plus, they are bots. Also, hardly anyone plays as a team in matchmaking. a least not in the majority of games I've played. Anyways, I'll be adding each and every one of you. My highest skill is 24, but I only played maybe around 100 or less ranked matches in team slayer. the rest of my ranked matches are aplit up from other playlists, such as Squad battle (rank 18) team snipers, team swat and MLG. Used to play a shitload of Big team social so yeah, my stats don't really reflect my skill. I'm not super elite or anything but I'm decent.

Yeah you start off with those two, but the Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser (all that I know of) are available straight away on certain maps. 
I'm pretty sure that the Battle Rifle won't be in it at all, but there is the Carbine, and those two are practically the same. The other Covenant weapons like the Plasma Pistol and the Needler are effective in Halo 3, and it'll be the same in Firefight.
So if you think about it, all of the weapons from Halo 3 will be in it, bar the BR and Magnum...
By the way, what do you mean by "they are bots"?

I guess that's true, but the main matchmaking weapon most people use is the BR. Which is what a majority of people are used to using. I guess I just suck too much with the other weapons. Also I shouldn't have said bots, because they're not as advanced as that. I meant AI.

If you must know I'm a 42. HS in Lone Wolves (Only because I was racking up achievements, I'd be a Brig and beyond if I made a new account).

But if you don't care about that, then all you need to know is the fact that I'm Kakansho and I want to play Firefight with Australians :)

I've been playing Halo 3 since launch and consider myself pretty damn good, in terms of battle sense and skill :)

I'm a social player, played all 3 halo games and lining up at midnight for ODST (my very first midnight launch) Don't know what I'm excited about more.......ODST or a day off work
Never quite got into Halo multiplayer - really enjoyed COD 4 online, so happy to join in if you'll have me.

In the event people want more info: I've been playing Halo since CE (though only got online at launch of H3), so I know how to fight the Covenant :p Will also be going to Midnight Launch, but will be LAN-ing campaign and Firefight til about 5pm on Tuesday night. But when that time comes, I'll jump into a party whenever.


So glad there are so many Aussies getting the game. I'd have hated to resort to Bungie forums..

i dont play matchmaking that often but my lone wolves is 35 and just click on my name and see if my stats match up with yours PLUS i have a Halo 3 map and infection set up to be like halo 3 ODST firefight so ill put it in my fileshare and you's can do whatever you like with it its pretty good you might have to customize the settings sometimes though
