Stings retirement at Bound For Glory?
does anyone know if Sting is retiring at BFG?
the new poster shows Sting and the tagline 'The Final Curtain'
this sounds like this will be his last match

and if it is i got to say i am GUTTED!

Sting is in my opinion one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and the only Legendary wrestler i havent seen fight live.

i have seen people like HHH, HBK, Nash, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Team 3D, Rock, Austin, Mick Foley, Taker, Kane, New Age Outlaws, Chris Jericho etc.

but ive never seen Sting and i am going to the Maximum Impact Tour 2010 and really hope Sting goes.
I have never seen TNA live so looking forward to seeing AJ, Abyss, Joe, Angle, Beer Money etc. but this poster makes me think Sting is going.

there has been much talk of retirement recently;
Lockdown (if he got injured he would retire)
Sacrifice if Sting is pinned he will retire
Hard Justice, Stings last World Title shot

Sting says he wants to pass the torch to AJ
AJ wanted to retire, Sting told him to get a grip and seemed like retirement is on his mind then and he needs AJ to continue as the top star in TNA.

anyone got any news or thoughts on this?

i think bfg will be stings last show. i think he shouldve ended sooner. dude is a legend and needed to know when to give it up. he used to be one of my fav wrestlers but somebody who will stay on top0 of a company when they cant truly compete like they used to loses alot of respect from me.

Re: Stings retirement at Bound For Glory?
i think outta all the older superstars he is prob the best, they are all slow now but he can still compete. obviously it all depends on story lines, i think they just making sting lose abit more since he be going. no point making him champ then he leaves.

obviously he prob cant compete with newer stars in terms of speed and technicality, people such as AJ, Samoa Joe, Daniels, , LAX etc. its weird when you see how far wrestling has come, the flips and jumps they do now is so good and when you see the older stars its more grapples, suplexes.

i think the older WWE stars, undertaker, kane, HHH, HBK etc are better than older TNA stars but i think the younger TNA roster is better than newer WWE stars.

just saw the BFG poster cause my computer was playing up earlier and its got pictures of sting through his career so i think this will be it :'(

i think him and aj will have a match and aj will win and thats stings way of passing the torch.  it would be epic to see aj beat angle at bfg though.

yeh i think something good should happen for his retirement if it is happening.

oh id love to see angle get beat.
in fact the MEM need to lose all the titles. the story line isnt good. if tracii wins the knockout then the MEM would have every title.

reminds me  abit of NWO, especially with that laughable group called World Elite joining them.
also, British People dont talk like Doug Williams and Brutus Magnus, ive never met one in my life. same with William Regal, they all talk like tools.

id love to see Foley and Abyss tag team and beat Booker and Scott. if Sting stayed in TNA then id want him to be Legends champ. AJ for World Champ, Daniels for X Division.

they need a hardcore championship i think. that would be good.

I've never been a fan of Sting I prefer him than most stars like Triple H, HBK, John Cena etc honestly It should be a great match and hopefully it will get AJ Styles more over they really need to give him a World title push.

my thoughts exactually. joe came into this business as a indie killer went on a undefeated streak had the best and most hyped matches with angle and destroyed everyone who got in his way.  look at him now. and not only has his image suffered but i think his ring work has too. but we will see at sacrifice about him and daniels. i hope its a good match.

Samoa Joe and CM Punk had epic battles in ROH....they're like best friends though, Punk should tell him to sign with WWE like the ROH stars are. :P

They would they give him a really stupid gimmick maybe a like samoan eating machine Vince would jump at the chance to make a former TNA star like stupid these days most stars don't even wanna jump ship.

Ron Killings is still the same...CM Punk is still the same(he was in TNA briefly)...Jeff Hardy was still the same...Christian was still the same...there's probably more I'm forgetting, but for some reason people think Vince has an agenda to make other companies' wrestlers look stupid. The fact that CM Punk, Jeff Hardy and Christian are all World Champions leads me to believe otherwise.

Hold on Hold on, Ron Killings, Jeff Hardy & Christian are not original TNA talent they were in WWE before there TNA run. CM Punk didn't have a long run in TNA he left the company on bad terms. Ron Killings is doing nothing at all. Jeff Hardy is now gone for WWE Christian is on the C show. Your forgetting about guys like Monty Brown, Chris Harris, Kaz among others who got used wrong in WWE. Can't wait for Vince to call up Lance Hoyt and Senshi to the main roster see how poorly they get used.

Well, according to your logic, then since they left WWE for TNA, Vince would've punished them for leaving. Monty Brown wasn't used wrong, he was a part of the huge New Breed vs. ECW originals storyline, then one of his close family members died and he requested his release, so Vince gave it to him and offered him another chance if he ever wanted to come back. Chris Harris wasn't really treated wrong, he never got over with the fans, and you can't tell me he didn't look like sh!t because the two or three matches he had were just god-awful. Kaz never was in WWE as a main performer, he was probably brought in for a tryout and didn't impress, what can you do about that? The only person I can say was truly misused by WWE was Colt Cabana, he's a great wrestler, but they gave him a crazy gimmick and squashed him almost every week.

Kaz wrestled on Velocity for awhile, Monty Brown did nothing he was jobbing to the old ECW originals NEW Breed didn't even get over I don't think Vince hires original talent back just to make an example of them he leaves that for the originals. As for Colt Cobana I agree with what I heard he got released because he didn't look like a wrestler as I agree his doesn't.

I don't know what ECW you were watching, but Monty Brown was made to look like a dominating force...he pretty much Pounced Sabu right out of the ring for God's sake. The New Breed storyline did get over, it was the most over thing on ECW by far in early to mid 2007....it went on for months dude, if these guys weren't over, the storyline would've lasted maybe just a pay per view.

wasnt AJ the first TNA champion?
he doesnt really need to be any more over than he is, just for some reason Dixie Carter thinks its a good idea to give the MEM every title, they have just beat all 3 WWE shows for ratings in UK and USA and they start pushing stupid ideas, thats not a good thing.

Samoa Joe wouldnt look right in WWE.

been watching Smackdown yesterday, the one after Jeff Hardy left and CM came down dressed as him. god that was a bad show. im not flaming im just voicing my opinion. i feel sorry for WWE, it use to be so great and now i cant bare to watch. i dont make myself think i cant watch it cause im a TNA fanboy, i wish i could like WWE cause id have more wrestling per week to watch but i just cant.

Kahli + Finlay vs Kane and Mike Knox, that match was pretty laughable. shame to see someone like Kane lowering his standards of wrestling so much. no wonder WWE are losing money. all this newer talent is quite crap, the whole tv friendly thing is crap cause the story lines arent fun. nothin like the Undertaker sacrificing Austin on a cross or kidnapping Stephanie McMahon. those were the good old days.

since Jeff has left he should come back to TNA and also CM would be good cause he is such a good competitor.
apparently JR is thinking of coming to TNA.

and what i dont like bout WWE now is that people like Jeff Hardy, Christian, Edge, Big Daddy V, William Regal, Mark Henry etc are World Champion competitors but back in the day theyd be lucky to get a European Championship shot cause they were mid card competitors at best. they havent got any better at wrestling so why are they high up in the ranking now.

if WWE sorted it out id watch it cause you cant have too much wrestling. but at the minute ill stick to TNA but i could see that stopping if the MEM dont split soon.

but anyway back on topic, 'apparently' sting has cracked ribs so can see him definately going now. shame, anyone seen the new Sting t-shirt though? the one where they dont print anything, its done by fading the t-shirt colour or something. looks good. shame postage to UK costs £20 cause cant get it on the Euro TNA store

that statement i consider to be a little ignorant. thats how the wrestling buisness works. you start off mid card at best and then they build you to a main event wrestlers.  its a smart move and has been around since since wrestling started.

And what's completely wrong with that picture is that Big Daddy V has been gone for almost 2 years now and has never even smelled a world title shot. Regal(even though he deserves it), henry and Christian were only major players on ECW, which is considered a developmental show for younger guys.
