I just report them for "tampering". Most of the time they are tamperers anyway, so they get banned!

Geometry Wars 2 Scores

Believe it or not, I still get them pretty much every day (not because of GWRE2 really, but GW1, Time Pilot, etc). I File Complaint for spamming me (inappropriate txt msg) and block communications. I just got one last night with just one word: "Nerd" - kind of sad really. They took the time to send a message, but couldn't think of anything clever to say.

I guess my gamertag doesn't really help matters either :)

Yeah, that must suck. Do you still get much "business"? I gather there're peak times when people join, like if there's a big game release or a massive update and you have to play games with newbies etc.

I actually get lots of Ambassador related messages and FRs. Usually they're people from my state (not too many of us). And I've been in 3 of the community playdates so far as well. I think we have another coming up for Halo: ODST.

I don't, probably 'caus sequence ain't popular. Only messages I get are random friend requests with a message related to sequence attached to it. The most recent message I got was a guy asking me what was the smile achievement. come on. He could have asked #30 000 and got the answer, or simply google it.

Ive had people say things like that on these xbox forums.... i nromally PWN anyone who wastes there time hate mailing me. I dont like too but these people cannot be ignored. I dont get any from Geo boards though becuase im not high enough ranked in like half the modes.
I really cant stand it though.... i mean come on, thsese people dont even know bout our lives.

Lately, I've been receiving quite a lot of positive messages and random friend requests. Luckily, no hate mail. I thought it's maybe because people who write NO LIFE are people that don't like the game, and therefore, played only deadline and only for a couple of minutes. So the only leaderboard they had access to was deadline's. As for Sequence, when people get to that last mode, it means they probably liked the game, since they've played enough to get there. Just a theory.

You don't want hate mail. It gets really old and annoying after the 400th person asks you for recon armor. I suppose those two things are completely unrelated but rest assured having people whine at you all day for any reason is really no fun.

I'm not good enough in gw2 but in a couple of other games where I've had a Top 10 I'd begin getting lots of random friend requests. Never hate mail though. I guess that's reserved for #1's.

Lol, that's lame. The worst (or best, depending on how you look at it) part of it is: if these people spent even half as much time practising as they did sending these pointless messages, they might actually be able to learn how the pros do it.

^^^This.  At least that's the sentiment from anyone in the majority of Halo 3 lobbies I'm in (because I'm OMFG A 50 HACKZ CHEATER BOOSTING RAWR!!!!).  Same goes for anyone checking Time Pilot, Frogger, GeoWars, etc leaderboards.  I actually got a message from someone asking how I got such an "exact, suspicious" score on Time Pilot.  When I told them to just practice and figure out how the scoring works, they said I "obviously cheated" and were going to report me.  *Sigh*  Got to love the bottom rungs of intelligence with access to the internet.
