Love this game!
Yup...I really do. You know I go through different phases. All winter I played Fallout 3, all spring I played L4D, this summer I have been picking up cheap games. I picked up Ninja Blade for $20 and it is well worth it. The setting of the game is great: old school ninjitsu/mysticism in a modern/slightly futuristic context. I love the right trigger moves: speed running, wall runs (think Mirror's Edge). The weapons are awesome, they feel like they are really different when using them (not simply some different graphic with a different damage). I was leery of the many button sequences, but I think they work well in this game. You have to use ninja like reflexes to get "perfect." Combat, cutscenes, button sequences, back to combat, to cinematics seem pretty fluid to me. I bought this game with pretty mediocre expectations (even at $20), but have been surprised by how fun it is.

Re: RE: Love this game!
Ninja Blade's style is usually my type of game.  Love action ninja games.  I usually like all of From Software's games.  I heard all the medicore reviews and comments but I ignore them since I like to try out the game and judge for myself.  I use reviews more as a guide and for info and as a preview.
First level I thought was good.  Love the upgrade system.  And was actually surprised as to how many and long the cutscenes are.  Those thats good that there is a lot of story.  Ninja Gaiden 2 barely had anything to keep me going.  Already the twist in the beginning of the game has got me wanting to find out what happens.  And that not everything is as it seems.
Well once the second level kicked in I could see all the frustation.  I try to do my best but I find myself entirely dieing way too much.  A lot of stuff is just trial and error so I understand it takes some practice.  But I find a lot of the sequences and fights frustrating now.
I'll give it my all for the rest of the game, and hopefully that was just a fluke couple of levels.

Halo 3 - 28,529 Ranked Kills
COD 4 - 15,190 Ranked Kills
COD:WAW - 13,666 Ranked Kills
Gears 2 - 6,176 Ranked Kills

Re: RE: Love this game!
This was my first time playing a game on xbox that was like a rpg. I normally dont like them. I enjoyed playing the game. The storyline was ok. I hate that you fight the same things over and over. I did like that when you die, you pretty much start where you left off. That is a huge relief!! Overall, my sons and I enjoyed watching and playing this game. Now onto Ninja Gaiden II!!
