Madden 10 still inferior to 2K5

I have to laugh when I read a review for Madden 10 (either OXM or Game Informer,) and they said the presentation in Madden 10 is on par with 2K5.  Sorry, but after five years it should be MILES ahead of 2K5.  It's not even on par like they said.  If I'm not mistaken, since Madden 08 they had robbed 2K of the ESPN rights too.  You'd think they would be using that to their advantage right? WRONG.  Instead, they give us this lame, generic "EA Sports Extra Point" show.  The whole presentation feels watered down and boring.  If EA wants my respect, they should make Madden 11 $19.99.  It's not even right that EA charges $60 each year, when the most work they put into it is updating rosters and minor graphical/animation tweaks. 2K5 charged $19.99 for pure innovation, presentation, and execution.  That showed a lot of class.  Unfortunately our NFL games are doomed to be created by a company that also turns almost every respectable movie into garbage games.  That's a topic for another post though.  2K5 will most likely be the pinnacle of NFL video games until competition is brought back into play.

SIXburgh!

A fellow Steelers fan here too...and I can't agree more with your comments...I only got Madden 09 last year because previews said it had an in-game save feature...it did not..so I play it on the PC (08) for that...when I have time, I fire up 2K5...it is still the best and doesn't look half bad either.
