Golden Axe: Arcade version vs Genesis version
What are the differences? I think that in one, when you do your
magic attack, that not all of the magic is used.

Also, the version offered here is the Genesis version, right?

It's kinda hard to explain between the XBLA version and the SEGA Megadirve (A.K.A Genesis in North America) but there are some. Sound and graphics for one thing, and some minor changes to game play such as the way the chracters fight. That's all I can remember.

The version offered here is the arcade version, not the Genesis.  I think that for both of them, when you use your magic attack, you use all your magic - it is in Golden Axe II that you have the option to use all your magic at once or just some of it at a time, and I think that you have to set your magic to "special" to have that option.

The arcade version, in my opinion, is easier because the last boss is Death Adder.  In the Genesis version, you kill Death Adder and then have to play an additional level where the boss is Death Bringer, and he is much harder than Death Adder.  Every time he knocks you down, and sometimes when he doesn't, he'll use extremely powerful magic on you.  He also has two skeleton minions who are apparently invincible.

And yeah, I forgot about that aswell. It's a shame it's not the Megadrive version, that was better. ^_^
