Having a bit of a problem with the jail break mission where you have to break out esperanza or whatever she's called.

I've checked the walk throughs on the wb and it doesn't seem to add up.

After meeting the girl in the red dress, I follow the team to the sandbags, take out the cops, then blow the door into the jail. But literally about 2 seconds after I walk through the door into the courtyard it says the girl has been killed and mission aborts.

I'm obvioulsy doing something wrong or missing something major, but can;t figure out what.
If anyone can help me here it would be massively appreciated.

That's weird, never happened to me. Really, she should be behind a solid cage and enemies won't shoot her. She's also on the top floor around some corners so I know you can't see her.

Just keep trying I guess.

I had the same problem so I used the gyrocopter and flewdirectly to where her cell was and bailed out before I crashed. As soon as I hit the ground I took out any immediate guards and ran to her cell. For the next part I just charged towards the main court and jumped over the ledge with the rocket launcher in hand and hit the guy trying to flee with a rocket before he even made it out of the prison.

By the way Esperanza is on the top level of the prison in a cell on the far right hand side, there is somewhat of a hallway that winds around the platform which takes a while to get through on foot. Evertime I tried to take this mission head on foot I failed because of her dying.

I am getting the exact problem described above with this mission.. 30 seconds after blowing up the jail door they kill the woman I'm supposed to be rescuing. I see that there's a suggestion to use a helicopter instead of going in on foot - will this definitely worked. I've only seen minor iffy glitches in this game up until this point, but this mission is buggy as anything

Huh? Another flaw in the game, I suppose. I had to play through the mission with half Rico missing, i.e. his pants were running about. Probably fun to some, but I'm getting sick and tired of this poorly executed game. It's like playing an alpha version of an open source game. The game is broken.
