I heard that this is basicly a remake of the best RTS of all time, Total Annihillation ...
is this true?  if it has any similarities can any1 name them, i kinda wanted to get this game but i have enough RTS's unless this rumor is true.

I believe this was made by the same programmer. I love the TA series, I still have it, but I never really got into the whole modding thing with it.

i didnt get into DLing mods or anyhting either only thing i have was cavedog DL's  a few maps, and i had the 5k unit patch

i h8 you Atari buying the rights to TA and then do nothing with it ='(

I hear you. I feel the same way. The creator took the series in a slightly different direction than the original game but that was of course due to the fact that he could not get the rights to the game.

The mods for TA were sick. They were so numerous though that you had to get an additional program called TA Conflict Crusher just to take care of the ridiculous number of weapon ID's etc.

One of the coolest mods was actually a flying engineer drone that was designed to repair everything on the go and reclaim all possible resources as it went.

There were a few fighters that were so fast you could not track them with the mouse. You had to drag a 10x10 box on the map to snag it as it screamed past you.

I've never seen that kind of fan dedication in a RTS since then.

Intellectual property laws what they are...no this is not a remake.  However, the genius mastermind behind TA, Chris Taylor, is responsible for this masterpiece.  If you loved TA then this game will definitely make you happy.
