WTF. Sonic adventure 2 was released in 2001 on the SEGA Dreamcast. Sonic unleashed released in 2008 on xbox360. Compare the technology for the time and you will notice Sonic avdenture 2 is far superior. You call yourself a Sonic fan yet you flame one of the best, if not, the very best Sonic game in the series. I don't call that a Sonic fan at all.
I'm going to call both of you losers and state the following:
Sonic Adventure 2 = Sega Dreamcast's graphics and power at its best. Its 'slight' rerelease on the Gamecube made it feel a little better but it still looked good. Still does, actually. A lot of the dubbing was actually WAY off as far as lip-syncing though.
No big deal, it still rocked crotches.
Sonic Unleashed = Xbox 360 graphics and the "Hedgehog Engine" plays the best on this platform when compared to the PS3 edition where loads of glitches and errors pop up, unfortunately. It's fast as hell, smooth and crisp, and the CG cutscenes are beautiful but still not far ahead of the actual gameplay graphics themselves which is pretty good.
Sonic Adventure 2 Gameplay = Sonic Adventure 1 + more precise control, however at times it felt a little too sensitive. Nonetheless, it handled great.
Sonic Unleashed Gameplay = (Modded) Sonic Adventure 2 without the exploration in the levels + 2D "tribute" gameplay. Also, speed.
Sonic Adventure 2 Story (in a nutshell) = Dude "Shadow" is a hedgehog. "I will grant you three wishes." "Help me become the greatest! I need chaos emeralds." "DUDE YOU FAKER HEDGEHOG." "Omg Sonic! *hugs Shadow*" "omg Sonic! *hugs Sonic*." "omg Amy shut up. *escapes prison*". Rouge has breasts. Wat. "We gotta get the chaos emeralds before Dr.Robotnik gets 'em.". Level level level BOSS FIGHT level BOSS FIGHT AGAIN "Oh hey there Sonic let's race but FIGHT at the same time!" "Ok." "DUUUUUUUUDE Shadow was really some slug-like dinosaur we gotta stop it D: " "Shadow let's go super!" "Ok" *pew pew pew hit the pimples in space!* "Maria I did it" "Shadow didn't make it" "YAY WE DID IT!" "TAILS!" *fly fly fly fly* *cough hack wheeze* "Find the Emeralds' temples to restore them AND the Earth" "ok" "Dark Gaia is bad you don't want to fight him" level level level BOSS level level BOSS FIGHT AGAIN "Okay Tails let's fly to Eggmanland and finish this!" I think we can agree both stories were pretty "far out there" and neither was "better than the other". The main difference is that Sonic was mostly by himself in Sonic Unleashed instead of "Sonic and Co." like Sonic Adventure 2 was. Oh, and none of that "Everybody unite together regardless if we are enemies to save the universe!" crap. Yeahhhh...
