I swear I must have like 1200 sharks by now, yet no achievement.  I get anywhere between 89 and 142 shark kings per attempt.... I start a new game, go directly to level 40 and eat away at the shark king....then when finished I push continue, and it goes to the leaderboards, and I start the process over again.

Does eating the Shark king count? If so then i must be at least 1 away cause I've been eating hundreds of sharks over the past month.

The shark kings do not count.

oh nooo i've been playing that level over and over to try to get 1000 sharks what is the best level to get this in then?? which one has the most sharks??

I start at the very first orca level and move my way up to the shark kings, quit and repeat.

inefficient

just start at level 37, grow to full size, eat only sharks, get killed before you beat the level, use both continues, beat the level before you use up your last life.  rinse, repeat.

Thanks for the info. I was about to go insane myself. I've got every achievement except this one, and I figured for sure that by the time I got to 10 hours--or at worst, when I got to 40,000 in the food bank--I'd have dined on my thousandth shark.

Idea for the sequel (as if the game programmers actually read these comments and say, "Wow, that IS a good idea!"): put a counter in the menu somewhere if you're gonna make us eat a thousand sharks, or play for 10 hours, or any other mundane time-consuming journey.

Ditto that suggestion here! I have NO idea how many sharks I've gone through, but I have a vague idea how long I've played.

It's the last achievement I need and I'm telling you it's wearing me out. Always eating sharks, getting killed, eating more sharks and still no 1000 sharks eaten, ppffffft

 

Im still working on my shark eater achievement, heres the strategy ive been using for it: Load up merry go round (36) Try and get to the shark eating size losing as little lives as poss. Then just linger between the two oysters at the bottom and try to avoid eating normal fish, when the bar is nearly full id get my self killed either by a mine or an oyster and on my last couple of lives ill just finish the level. Gives me 50-100 sharks each time. Then when i complete the level i end game and load it back up again. Rince, repeat. That does register the shark eats....right?
