I just played the demo for this game and thought it was awesome, like i think its better then Ninja Gaiden 2. and i have never played any of the other DMC games i am really thinking of getting this, but i hear some people saying its not good and some say it is awesome. so should i get it and also i dont need to have played the other DMC game to understand this right?

If you enjoyed the demo you will most likely enjoy the full game. It is fairly cheap now as is and I'm sure you can find it used cheaper. Playing the others while helpful isn't a requirement.

Yes Spartan, with Nero you upgrade each charge level and with Dante you have an whole arsenal of upgrades using Gunslinger mode. There is too much depth to go into it but look at some videos and watch dante using his weapons. The best as got to be Pandora Laser :D

Pick up the game if you liked the demo. It's top notch quality game.

^ LOL Yeah I'm still only half way through on SOS mode. Game is hard. I've been playing since DMC1, played every one of these games beginning to end and I must say, DMC4 was very, very impressive with the presentation and story telling. Not to mention the intro with Dante and Nero is the most badass thing I've seen.

But what it lacked was unlockables. All the other DMCs had good unlockables, DMC3 in particular had costumes that altered gameplay and devil trigger. But I'm eagerly waiting word on 5.

As for Ninja Gaiden 2 (you mentioned it), that game was so damn hard. I loved 1 and did beat it but in 2, I got to mission 14 on easy and couldn't get past it. lol. Keep in mind, before I recovered my gamertage and lost about 5,000GPs I had a few hundred points on NG2 (incase you check my profile) that I can't get back all of the sudden for some reason, even when I play the game.

Yeah i stoped with DMD cuz omg i can not get through it i use like 10 small green orbs in the first fight with dante. and yeah that scene is awesome i love it. as for NG2 yeah it was hard i beat it on easy but the warrior one omg i think i got to last mission and never got anyfurther.

I'm still going to work on beating DMC4 on DMD mode after I get past SOS mode. I'm just going to play through on Easy and collect 100s of health and DT things for it. lol. I'm on mission 12 of SOS and it's hard as hell. I just want infinite Devil Trigger.

Yeah. By the way the only mode you can play on to have everything you already got is devil hunter. I only need like 3 more blue orbs and i have all health but those last 3 are gonna be crazy, the secrect missions in this game are crazy.

Really? I play on human mode and it carries my health things over to SOS. That's been the only reason I've been able to get through it. That damn Blitz pisses me off, too!!! LOL.

Wait to you go from SOS to human mode and all the stuff you have on SOS is in human mode? also yeah i hate those damn Blitz there so annoying to kill lol when i get there electric shield off i go into DT and grabe them and shoot at them for more damage and keep doing it untill it gets red shield then i spam it with charge 3.

Yeah I go back and play on Human mode when I need to stock up on items (IE health) then play on SOS and I have all those items. Trust me, it'll help you tremendously on getting through those higher difficulties since if you're even decent at the game (like me, I'm just decent lol) you will take minimal damage on Human mode and not have to use those healths. So you just get money and keep buying items, then play on SOS with all those items.

Yeah, me too. Unfortunatley I'm having a ridiculous hard time on SOS mode so I highly, highly doubt I'll be able to beat DMD before breaking my controller. lol.

Got any tips for the final boss (both times you fight him I forget his name). Everytime I take his shield down it's so damn hard to get ahold of him. I just keep using RB and B to get close.

OMG this is my unfavorite boss i hate fighting him cuz he is an hold stupid loser with his shield and crap. well for the first fight with him i took out his shield then i cept using my devil arm to get to himand when i got him to ground i put on DT and grabed him and shot him at the same time to get more dammage out of him. but the real trouble is when he gets the statue working cuz when u get off his shield and try to get him to ground he will avtivate the statue and then put shield on again. and for last part with him kind of the same thing only be more smart. but to be honest when i got him to about death and i had little health and no more health iteams i used the holy bottle and killed him. hope this works if not there are some people on the boards that can help really well.
