I agree, learning the curve is seriously ridiculous! I do like games where I have to work at it, but skate is to much work for me. It is pretty realistic though, so that's kinda fun. But some people just want a game where you can do all kinds of crazy things that you couldn't do normally. So that's where Tony Hawk would come in. lol
Well, now that you mention it, the two games are apples and oranges. TH is arcade style and Skate is simulation, so naturally there will be varying tastes depending on the gamer. It's like comparing Burnout to Forza...yeah, they are both racers, but I prefer Burnout because all that nit-picking and customization in Forza bores the heck out of me.
