Hey all, I'm looking to get this game but wasn't sure if it would be worth it since Pacific is coming out very soon...

what do you guys n gals think? I can pick it up fairly cheap...is there still any value in picking this up?

Only you can say for sure whether or not it's worth it to you.  But my opinion would be yes.

I suspect there will still be a healthy number of people playing BS:M, even after BS:P comes out.  Some people won't want to spend $60 for the new game, and others just won't like it.  It's a fair departure from BS:M, and some people just won't make the switch.  I'm gonna keep it myself and will probably play it from time to time for nostalgia's sake.

Only problem i had with midway is it was prone to crashing rather alot even after the updates.

It doesn't seem to like the nxe as there was no problem until nxe update now it freezes .

I know that the game will freeze if your HDtv display is set at 1080p (or 1080i) while playing Battle of Sibuyan Sea.  Perhaps that is the issue?

It is deffinately worth it. I love this game. From the singleplayer to the multiplayer it is very fun and will last you a long time.

pretty damn good game. esp if you're a ww2 naval buff. I'd say get em both.
