Dealing with 'INVASION'

INVASION happens 500 seconds after a ball has been in play. There is a counter on the scoreboard showing you how long left till INVASION begins.

INVASION results in you not being able to score any points while it lasts. The only way to stop INVASION once it has started is to get all active balls into the white hole just left of the large robot at the top of the table. You score 500k for doing this. It is preferable to stop INVASION while only one ball is in play otherwise you will have to make the difficult shot to the hole more than once.

Multiplier applies to the 500k so stopping an INVASION can be quite profitable.

Using the upgraded subway (initial findings, incomplete)

The subway is on lower the left side of the table. It can be seen as a white light with the word 'Subway' and after the light is a hole that acts as the entrance to the subway. You will know the subway has been upgraded when the dot-matrix display tells you.

If you enter the upgraded subway you are given a choice of destination to cycle through. This is done with the flippers. You will notice that when hovering over one destination that the word "HERE" appears on the right hand of the table on a building.

I don't know the significance yet.

The skill shot will sometimes award 500,000 points.  I've only had it happen to me once, however.

I've had it award 1million before as well. I'm not sure yet what conditions have to be met for the skill shot to award these higher amounts.

Also I've seen 'AI Military Upgrade' as an award for skill shot, but I don't know what that means.

I have some questions if anyone out there know the answers.

1. Is there a benefit for locking balls through the central robot ramp vs locking them in the 'save' hole next to the robot?

2. When you get multiball, what is the best tactic? How do you maintain multiball for the longest time possible?

INVASION TIP
Instead of trying to stop the invasion by dropping the balls in the 'save' hole, you can use Invasion to help rack up your multiplier. The multiplier lights are on the left side of the table half way up. There are 4 of them.

During INVASION concentrate on lighting up these 4 lights as many times as you can. If you're good you can go from 0X multiplier to 8X or even 10X multiplier in one INVASION!

Why is this good? Well high multipliers are the easiest way to high scores. If you're doing well you should be able to get multiplier to apply to 1million+. Which means you could grab in excess of 10 million bonus when losing a ball.

Here's another tip. It's so obvious that you may have overlooked it like I did.

Pause the game. Go to the option 'How to play'. You will have a few pages of tips from Zen showing how to get some of the medals!

i think i have also stopped the invasion by hitting the UFO on the left.

Multiball - when robot is shooting at you with the Ray gun that makes the ball move; get it up the ramp to stop the robot (whichever ramp is highlighted), then the left and right ramps will light up green, launch a ball up each one to activate the Ball Lock hole in the back.  Get three balls in and you have an AITRSTRIKE MULTIBALL.    i feel like sometimes i get the robot to start the "ray gun" after launching a couple balls in a row up the left or right ramps...may not be the case though.

As mentioned above the skill shot also awards the "Lock Lit"

In regards to the Skill Shot bonuses.

I hit a 1 Million point shot earlier today.  Thats my first and only 1mill.
I have also got 10,000 a few times.
