I think it's definitely worth it. Anniversary is an outstanding game, and an amazingly well produced remake of the original Tomb Raider.

If you're a Tomb Raider fan, yes this is worth the price. While I think it is much easier than the original it is still a challenge and keeps the spirit of the original intact. I would also say that this is much better than underworld, which was way too easy, in my opinion. If you're a fan though all three are worth having Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld. I just thought Underworld should have been more challenging and longer, it was over about the time it felt like it was starting.

I'd say it is worth it as well. I originally played it on the PS2, and didn't know how much replay value I would have playing it on the 360. I was amazed to find out how much I loved revisiting it, especially with the 360 graphics.

I want to take the person I am now and find the courage to throw that all away. Strip down to nothing.

Re: Is this worth getting?
Underworld is probably a very good starting point for anyone brand new to the TR series, but this game is well worth the price of admission for the content it has.  Its difficulty and complexity in puzzle solving is probably the highest of the three TR games on the 360 right now... at least that's how I feel.  In terms of game hours, it's got a good 12 hours of game-hour content, though it will take a lot longer to actually finish the game because.... you will die... a lot.

The game still runs on an older engine, and after popping in Underworld right after finishing Anniversary, I can confidently say that Crystal Dynamics has made some great improvements in the newest game.  You will get the traditional camera issues as always, and some of the sequences will have you scratch your head, or pull your hair out in frustration.  When it is all over and done however, the satisfaction will be great.

I didn't know about this, but I started the game on hard right away, and before finishing the game, I started a time trial.  Doing that evidently reset my save game file to medium difficulty, hence cheating me out of the hard game achievement. I wasn't too pleased with that but oh well. :)

Btw, how in the heck is it possible to do the time trials on this thing?  With the number of deaths I have gotten over the course of finishing this game, I just can't see myself successfully completing it. Hats off to those of you who managed it.  To me, that is quite an achievement.

Oh, you'll find on your second runthrough that it isn't so bad. Most of your deaths are usually related to the trial and error aspect of the game. Also, dying doesn't stop you from completing a time trial necessarily. I'v found that most of the really tough spots have a checkpoint just before them so if I die I only lose a few seconds. Though I have a couple sticky spots that it took a few attempts to complete, which resulted in a fail the first time.

You can also use some of the cheats to accomplish it. If I'm remembering correctly, you can use the Golden Shotgun and Silver SMG's while on the Time Trials once you unlock them, which will cut down on your combat time immensely. This will allow you to spend a few more seconds focusing on the platforming aspect. Even if you haven't unlocked them yet, Ninja is correct, and you'll find subsequent attempts will be quicker, with fewer deaths.

The graphics are very good. Just don't go into TRA expecting photo-realism, because that isn't what TRA can deliver and it's not what TRA was shooting for, either. Besides, if you loved TRU, TRA will help you understand what transpired between Lara and Natla, and give you some insight into who Lara is.

If you truly enjoyed the original and consider yourself to be a big fan, then yes, get it. If $34 is too much for you, why not buy it used?

It is my opinion, and therefore, it is fact. Nothing more, nothing less.

Okay update i took the dip and bought this game for $20 and a collectors edition aswell hehehe. Im enjoying it.. not to bad i just hate the combat controls though. pressing the trigger repeatedly can get frustrating when shooting multiple enemies.. On my way to kill that behemoth T-Rex on Peru. Wish me luck
