It could be me sure but, I just finished Mission 1: Rock Bottom and on start it said I could use all upgrades automatically.  I have gold on everyone already except Mission 7 so I ignored worrying about it for M1.

When I finished Rock Bottom, it said I had Silver, natch because I didn't try, but when I reload the game it says Gold again.

So which is it?  And does the lack of effort for Gold count in FPS mode or is the game just reporting it that way and I can ignore it (because I really do still have all the upgrades automatically with FPS)?

What if...I became a Spectre? Conrad...I haven't been shot in the head nearly enough times to think that's a good idea.

Yeah, its weird..

essentially, the earlier unlocks go back to being locked, but the later ones like the infinite ammo remains. (eg, you cant holster on level 1, because it isnt unlocked)

Because your save already has the gold unlocked, you dont need to get gold on the FPS levels, as it wont overwrite what you already have.
