The problem with this rush is that in KW engis got a 3sec cap delay which means good opponents will just sell the building and the rifle squad kills the engi.
Also you can't target with MRT's alone.
But if you manage to get an mrt engi into an enemy conyard he can either sell it or pack it up and then you can just stomp the mcv with a titan. =D
If he sells his MCV and I manage to kill his cranes, then he loses all of his build queues. He can recover if he has a WF, but I can take that time to get to T2 and blow up some harvs with Orcas. And I have snagged my fair share of MCVs with this rush. If he packs up instead, I use my engi on the next most important structure, while my preds beat up on the crane, or any harvesters. Also, you can still force fire with the MRTs so structures can be taken down, and leave them set on guard mode to handle any units that are in range. Titans are good for crushing the MCV, but you have to really watch out for missle squads. Using the enemy's structures as cover can only work for so long, and Titans aren't infantry killers (minus the crushing, of course). If I can cap and sell the MCV, I could throw the rifle squad into the MRT and give the Titans all of the anti infantry support they need. It's just that the Titans aren't fast enough to get there to really catch the enemy by surprise. They can wreak havoc in the enemy base if there are no defenses, but if the enemy does have some anti vehicle units then this rush gets pretty difficult to pull off. That's why I'm trying out different unit combinations to try and get the same effect. Maybe MRT/Rifle, MRT/engi, and a Titan? It only costs 100 credits more than the 2 Pred, APC/engi rush. A Wolverine could substitute for the MRT/Rifle, but the self repair ability is worth the extra 100 credits. I'll try it out next time I'm at home.
