I want to be a Master Ninja...
...but I have a long way to go. I started Path of the Mentor tonight. As many of you already know, Mentor is challenging - even for the best Ninja Gaiden player. Anyway, I feel like I'm not getting the full effect of the game by playing it on Acolyte and Warrior. Those levels were challenging in their own right, but Mentor is chasms of difference in the levels. Wow. If I had hair I would be pulling it out right about now. Here is my short list why I want to be a Master Ninja: 1. To be satisfied within myself knowing that I accomplished defeating this game while so many others give up on it so easy due to its difficulty. 2. To help others become excited about Ninja Gaiden 2. (Really, other than Gears of War 2 this the only game I play right now) 3. Because I'm such a huge Ninja Gaiden fan that I am not satisfied knowing there are greater challenges that await me on Mentor and Master Ninja. With that said I am anxious to join the ranks of a very elite few. Peace be!
Love conquers all!

Good luck, and don't forget the very cool gamerpic you get for beating the game on Master Ninja, that is the best reason of all lol.

Heheh, yeah Mentor is an eye opener after Warrior. I know I was expecting it to be harder but I wasn't reckoning on the severity of the step up from Warrior, a true WTF! moment.

Best of luck on your NG journey, just stick at it and you will make it to Master Ninja. Yes [Y]

i have no desire to even try. i value my sanity. a couple runs each on acolyte and warrior were plenty for me.

Re: I want to be a Master Ninja...
For many it's insanity to try. For others it's a solid steel wall. And still for some... be it insane or a wall it is the only way to go. If you want the glory knowing you beat Master Ninja then you gotta want it. Mentor is not so bad once you get used to it. Once you see that, Master Ninja is the next step up. Just follow a few all important tips that have been spoken numerous times on the NGII board. Most important turn off auto save and keep a back up save. Through persistence and determination you will persevere. Failure is not an option. Best of luck to you my friend.

Haha... Thats a good way to explain it Jamo for me it was indeed a damn solid wall that must be broken to win...and yes we all wanted it the taste of Master Ninja conquer... thats what kept us going even after countless deaths in Master Ninja mode...and yeah the gamer pic rules of Master Ninja complete... thats why I always keep it in my other account that I did it on XD!

Re : I want to be a Master Ninja...
I remember when I started playing Mentor I thought it was challenging (not so much for the levels, but definitely for the bosses), but you'll see that the step from Mentor to Master is as important as the one between Warrior and Mentor. I think it's worse actually. and for some reason on Master I found the levels themselves to be challenging, but most bosses were pretty alright. And yeah after you beat Master, Mentor is kinda slow and really forgiving!

Good luck ninja mate
