AA TS- You the M-249 and the ACOG Scope
Everybody loves the reach an ACOG scope can give; but is it really worth not being able to have periphial vision? Point being that I've seen time and again friendlies caught by a SAW gunner sending rounds downrange who didn't see them until they got dropped. Your choice.

Scope, no question.  The SAW is a 'spray it when you say it' weapon, and anything that can give you focus is a good thing.  I think the situation you described can be eliminated by teamwork, you got someone watching your back and you won't get run up on.

well as the guys found out on my 1st game back the saw does quite well for close range or distances if used correctly. I went 9-1 on my 1st game after 1.5 years of not playing.

Re: AA TS- You the M-249 and the ACOG Scope
ACOG is great to have. Yes, you lose your periphial vision, but you aren't gona have your sights up at all times, and hopefully your team members are watching your back and their fire sectors so you don't get caught off guard.

The problem is not the saw gunner, its the other players. When a player is shooting, in a firing line or has stopped moving to shoot, YOU  and the shooter need to be aware of where and what direction he/she is shooting. If you have to move, do so behind the shooter. If you can't, tell the shooter your crossing their line of fire and wait for them to let you move.
