I think if it werent for the A.I of the survivers the game would be too easy. Its more intense with the survivors messing around. Some survivors are helpfull, whle others just mess things up. Kinda like it would be in real life imo. I know its frusterating, but when you really start to get good at this game, The lame A.I makes things more fun, and interesting.
I dont like the way alot of people FLAW this game because they think the A.I is bad. The A.I was supposed to act like that. They are supposed to be fools who will just get themselves killed if you dont pull them together and get them working for the cause.
Right now im rocking a 6 man Zombie killing Possie while I take PP shots, Theres nothing like it...
I agree... to an extent.
It gets really annoying and fraustrating when you tell a group of survivors to head to a particular location, and there is a bunch of zombies clustered together between them and that location, with a clear path to the left or right of the pack of zombies that even the most paniced person in real life would take... because there are NO zombies there... only to have the survivors run RIGHT INTO the pack of zombies and then start yelling and *** because they are getting attacked...
Again, I agree that I really do like the way some survivors will be helpful and will actively kill zombies on their way to a location, whilst others are totally useless due to panic, requiring you to either hold their hand, or carry them through to safety. But when there is the choice of a clear path to a location vs. running through a tight pack of zombies to get to the same location and the survivors decide to go through the pack of zombies, or stop and start blasting the pack of zombies, instead of the more obvious choice of taking the clear path, it gets highly fraustrating.
Thats the one thing I would change with the A.I. in Dead Rising... a smarter pathing algorithim. Other than that, keep the survivors as they are... some proactive and helpful, others QQ'ing, useless excuses for bags of flesh!
:D
