Just wondering: Werent there different levels in other geometry wars-editions? Is it just the one squared for the arcade-version? I remember the DS-geometry wars with different levels, means borders, not just the squared one.

Well, I think there is just this level, Im right? If I only had knew that before...the trial would have done the job too.

You're thinking of Geometry Wars Galaxies for the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo Wii. This game only has one "level" but it has 2 versions: Retro and Evolved.

Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 has 6 different modes but they're all in the same confined space but with different enemy spawns/dynamics/strategies involved.

After my first disappointment Im now happy with the game.
Even if it is only one level I suck at around 170k points...;)

Don't forget that this came out first.  That's why it's only 5 bucks.  It only has the one "level" but it has a very steep set of difficulty curves.  Also, it does come with Retro in addition to the Evolved mode as AM mentioned.  A great deal compared to much of the arcade.
