Xpk - Q&A - Best Faction
Greetings members that visit and form part of this honorable forum .Today I woke up with a doubt in the head since today me and my friends will have some type of tournament between us in which we will see who's the best when it comes to fight 1-1 10k the winner gets 80$ (all of us put 10$ ) but here's my problem i still don't know what faction should i pick , because once i chose i won't be able to change , so here's my question which faction would be the best to use for 1-1 10k ?? - and why . - By Xpk :) (im decent with all the factions)

Traveler-59 but practice practice practice with them first. They're not for noobs. If you aren't confident with your game go Nod but not Black Hand because the game won't get far enough for you to use the beloved flame in a decent tournament. If you're an average player go with one of the GDI factions but stay away from Steel talons. They suck.

I'd say Nod or GDI. Nod's cheap and fast, which can give you an upper hand in larger maps, due to their speed. Also, losing early units doesn't hurt too much as opposed to more expensive factions. GDI has a good mixture of tough and reasonably cost-effective units, with enough mid-to-late game firepower to finish off an enemy. I don't know about the Scrin and their subfactions, because the only 1v1 tactic I ever see is Hexapod Wh0ring.

Hexapod wh0ring? You mean like Redeemer wh0ring or MARV wh0ring? GTFO. Epics are part of the game INCLUDING the Hexapod. If a Scrin player makes it that far anyway you haven't done your job. They have the weakest ground units until tier 4. You deserve to be walked over. That's your punishment. Take it.

Jeez, take a chill pill. I never said I couldn't beat it, I was just saying that's the only thing I ever see Scrin players do. Also, in comparison to other Epics, the Hexapod is a bit overpowered. Scrin factions have the only good healing unit in the game, so a bunch of corruptors can keep a Hexapod running much longer than the other Epics. I know Orcas and other aircraft can wreck corruptors, but if the Hexapod is loaded out with Shock Troopers, and has additional air support, they won't get through, so you're left with using artillery to take them out. Also, Scrin and T59 can use a mastermind/prodigy to teleport right in the middle of your army, phase field the Hexapod, and crush a good chunk of it, while gaining a nice pile of credits too. When the phase wears off, have a mastermind teleport it back home. EMPs aren't that effective too, since the Scrin player can just use a Stasis field to render the Hexapod invulnerable for some of the EMP's duration, then teleport away the first chance they get. The MARV can be wiped out easily by artillery, and even if a Redeemer rages your army, your units will continue to fire on it until it's destroyed, before turning on each other. A cloaked Redeemer can be countered by a scout and an EMP before your main units engage it.

Yes i totally agree with you, among the three epic Units the Hexapods is the one with most choices (teleport phase field , healing refuns money , etc..) that's why in the Pc version many thing had been patched in order to make the eradicator balanced

Too bad we didn't get any balance patches. EA could have fixed the engineer and commando selection button at least. Anyways, good luck with the tourney.
