I read around the forums and there are people that say that they have been real high levels and they've been at the same spot in the game that I am in. Can anyone tell me where great level up spots are? I just got to disc 3.

It's all about the Golden Poo Snake. :) It's been a while since I played, but reading up about it.. it's located at the Southern Deserted Island. You need the Dog Collar on (which give you 'Stink' needed to attract it) and Shoes of Hermes (which gives you first attack before it can flee battle). It gives you a pretty ridiculous amount of XP each time.

I find the best place to level up is the Ancient Ruins Forest.  When you enter the area there are four zebra poo snakes marching around a chest.  Defeating all four of them will give you around 4000xp.  Just link as many as you can and cast groundus each turn to defeat them quickly.  Then leave the area and return and they will respawn.  Keep repeating until you level up as much as you need.

The golden poo snake is good for both xp and sp, but nowhere near as fast as the zebra poos for just leveling up.
