Hi all, Having an annoying problem with Media Centre Extender on the Xbox. I can connect fine but whenever I reach the Media Centre interface, the screen goes very garbled and unusable. Bringing up the guide makes the interface visible in the background but goes screwy again when the guide is closed. I'm using a VGA cable set to 1080 resolution to a Samsung HDTV. I am dismissing the problem being with the TV as the display becomes visible with the guide open. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem, if I change the VGA resolution to a lower one than 1920x1080 then it works, but VGA 1920x1080 and the display is garbled, except when you bring up the xbox guide by pressing the xbox button.

I'm using win 7 pro.

I've just checked and it seems that the VGA output always switches to 640x480 resolution now when using media center on the xbox with windows 7.  If my xbox is set to 1920x1080 then I end up with a corrupted screen, if I have it set low (say 1366 x 768) then I can use media center but it still switches to 640x480 first.  It didn't do this with Vista or XP MC.

Any one know of any work arounds or ideas?
