Is there a drum machine program or DLC out there that will let me use my Rock Band drums to play "free style"?  Meaning, I want to play the drums but in the game per se with THEIR music.

I'd like to be able to play the drums while a friend plays my real electric guitar through a real amp.

Its a simple USB connection... seems like if you cant play a drum synth through the XBOX... somebody out there must have some kind of add-on box that could play directly through an amp?

In Rock Band 2 there is freestyle mode where you can play whatever you want. If you don't have RB2 then you can download a programme called Drum Machine located here

Install it and plug in your rock band kit to your pc, load up the programme and your set. You can assign differnet sounds to different pads if you wish and also record yourself. Be warned though that using a rock band kit as a real kit it pretty crap TBH.
