i dont actually own the game i was thinking of purchasing seems as i enjoyed the second so much. was just wondering if its still online and theres people playing

   There should still be online servers running. That said, it won't be as popular as DiRT 2. I do recommend DiRT as a very good offline game though.

yeah would be good offline just like DiRT 2 but id like to be able to get the online achievements :)

   There are only two/three Achievements which are based online - their total worth is something like 50G at the most. That said, you should be able to get them done with some patience.

yes its online and there is people still playing it.I was playing it but I got the THREE RINGS OF DEATH.when i get my xbox back from microsoft ill be back online and trying to get the 2 of the 3 online acheivments.

at least yesterday there were, i tried yesterday and it was a whole lot easier to find a game than in most other games

I was on yesterday, and there were constantly 3-5 people with the group I was in ... Was fun!

That sucks. Got all the online achievements in one sitting. Great game off-line though.
