I love the UT3 engine it is so amazing! Gears 1 is a really good game. I am just havin a really hard time with with it on hardcore! Any tips. I utilize bottle-necking technique as much as possible but how can I kill the locust-hordes easier???

The game is not that hard if you take your time and shoot things from far away.

Just stay in cover and move slowly.  If you try to rush like most do in multiplayer then you probably will have a hard time. It also helps to aim for the head when you come across some enemies.

Get someone to co op with you if your having a hard time. playing multiplayer is a different strategy from playing campaign. In campaign you should usually stick to lancering from behind cover and taking your time.

Sometimes the best strategy is just to run out and gib the locust horde into meaty chunks with your shotty.

Aim for the head and toss a grenade into the emergance holes ASAP. Both Gears games are fun. I enjoy the campaign, but no one on my FL plays either one so I haven't tried multiplayer much.

Co-op is your best bet.  Makes the game more enjoyable and less frustrating.
