i LOVE this game but it was stolen from me and seemed to be dying out online. im thinking about buying it again. can i find a game with 5+ players at any time of the day? thanks.

Yeah...I think it is!  I just logged on yesterday when I noticed that all the Midway servers were gone.  Or that just my imagination?  Did I just login at the wrong time?  I think I noticed this about a month ago as well.

Online is mostly dead....you could host your own match and people will come in randomly. Or you could jump into the ExcessiveUT server in unranked Deathmatch. There's usually fun to be had in there....especially when me and my coworker Carnage are kickin each other's quantum singularity.

I was on last week playing for 3 1/2 hours. It didn't seem dead to me. But also I was in a quick match. That led me to other matches once the first game was over.

Wait, so online play is still relatively available? I'm considering picking it up since it's so cheap, and I'd only be doing it to play it online so... that's pretty important to me. I'm a huge Unreal Tournament fan.

Im in UK and can (nearly) always find ppl online. Its a bit quiet from 12pm - 6pm gmt, but after that its good.

Got it now, and I'm glad I did. I'm pretty surprised how fluid the controls are, especially since I'm used to a mouse and keyboard. I also got my fiancee playing splitscreen with me offline and it's a blast. Got to try online more, though.

There's a few player matches available.. ranked matches are a ghost town though. Unreal was always about the player matches anyways.. ah, the good ol' Xbox days...

Hello, good thing I seen this forum I was thinking of buying this game. The price is affordable! Can you still unlock achievements in unranked player match servers?

You can get the all multiplayer achievements but the 4 that say they have to be done in a Ranked match. I just got the game a few days ago myself (played a rental copy last year) and it's a blast. I'm a big fan of bot matches though and not a big multiplayer gamer so the fact that the online is pretty much a ghost town does not effect me.
