Ok...wtf is up with this guy? I finally manage to get past the tentacles, and the mouth bit...but i don't remember both tentacles and mouth on medium. I'm catching his balls and sending them back for like...5 mins. and he still don't die.

using plasma cutter mostly, damage fully upgraded. I have the force gun to, but the grenages don't see to do a bit of good

I consider this the hardest part of the game. The bad news is that, in impossible, I believe the tentacles come back for a second round before he finally dies.  If you've survived this long, you're doing things right.  Dodge his whipping tentacles and shoot into those yellow bags.  Use kinesis to shoot those balls right back into his mouth and shoot him (in the mouth) with everything you've got.  If that doesn't work, go back to a previous save, load up, and return with more and better equipment to try again.

The battle bares no difference when the difficulty is changed.  If it does, then I've never noticed that difference.  Personally I don't think it matters what difficulty level the video takes place in.  So, it's not quite unfortunate.

Really?  Well, I sure noticed a BIG difference when I tried it!  But then again, I went from Easy directly to Impossible.  Maybe you did it differently. Anyone else care to comment on this?

No wonder your having a hard time, I bet on the easy difficulty the necro's ran up to you and just started giving you massages huh. Easy is exactly that... EASY

I felt like you dont get the experience out of games by playing easy. I always try on the hardest difficulty availble at start up. Its not bad it takes you a while to beat a boss, in fact it makes it more rewarding to finally win. Not to mention you have to actually think about saving your ammo and what and who to use it on. If you play on easy then you must be 8 years old.

Who is your unhelpful post directed at?  The OP in this thread is playing in Impossible Difficulty. I have played and won in Impossible Difficulty. The issue is whether the Leviathan battle is noticeably different in Impossible Difficulty (compared to the other levels of difficulty).  I thought it was VERY different.  What do you think?

Read the thread. and yes your on impossible so it will eb hard, However i have not done it yet just replayign easy to egt maxed out. However i assume the same tactic used on easy should work in which i ran in the circle and shot whilst moving therefore his tenticles did not touch me once. its simple. and to the replyer who said easy is for 8 yearolds, i conqer as im 15 and played easy first time round to get a nice feel on the game, ive done normal and im planning on doing hard once ive got maxed out and used the plasma cutter all theough the story so your view iswrong and slightly rude. so please think ebfore you speak. Not all of us like to go into the fray right away and do the hardest, wewant to egt a feel to the game, thats why easy was made, as forone its 18 rated and 8 year olds will therefore never play.

I dont know what the leviathan is, but if its that thing that has tenticles and shoots bomb things at you then I would say it wasnt that hard. All I did was keep jumping from side to side and shotting its red things.

I never play games on easy. Easy is for nubs.

I'm gonna take a break from this for awhile. My main prob is that i have no credits, approx 125 rounds of plasma ammo, and some force ammo...thats it. Plasma is full damage, but not capacity or speed. I'll get him sooner or later, but need to take a step back. I find that works extremely well.

Easy is not for nubs, i play easy to get achivements and to get a feel to the game.

I bought this game about a week ago.
In my experience, I played it on easy first just to unlock impossible.
I'm now on impossible in chapter 9 and I really don't see much of a difference, 'Leviathan' was a little different but didn't die on him. It just seems everything can a shot or two more, nothing big.

As for the boss itself, I found that 'Pulse Rifle' is very helpful provided you have a good amount of ammo.

Ofc its down to the game, i thought Dead Space was fine on easy due to its very good narrative and story it worked fine, games like halo i began on normal as on easy its very boring. depends on teh game, but saying easy is for NUBS is completely incorrect.

Once again you opinion is one of far understanding of the general player of games. As you sir are probably a bigger "NUB" than anyone else you consider a "NUB". I play easy, as ive said to acquaint myself with the game. Yes i could go on normal but sometimes i just want an easy play, mainly with single player games. Now to consider me a NUB would eb somewhat wrong. Two year olds cannot play as they themselves probably cannot write well yet. I will say this about Dead Space -- it is the hardest game in "Easy Difficulty" that I've ever encountered.  I do agree that in most games, "Easy" really is a pushover and most gamers can safely start in "Normal."   But, be warned, your first game of Dead Space in "Normal Difficulty" can be a very humbling experience.  It takes a while to learn this one.  IMHO, "Easy" is a good strategy for your first playthrough in Dead Space.
