Re: Worth it?
Yes, it is definitely worth it. Great story (in a manner that is a little odd by western standards, but, it is a jRPG after all), great characters, and in my opinion a very nice battle system. It does a nice job of blending turn-based static combat and free roaming hack-n-slash combat styles.

I found very few if any annoyances with this game. Well worth the 30 dollars.

It is one of the best RPGs for X360 so far. So YES! :-)

RE: Worth it?
I must admit that it was an impulse buy, seeing it on the shelves for just €15.
And I am glad I only paid that much.

It's a nice game, but far from the best. The voice acting kinda sucks... An all American cast of which some try to imitate a British accent... meh. Then there are the looong pauses between the lines. Really weird. In the end, I decided to just turn the voices to Japanese. Which is a great plus.
The story so far is mostly good. (I have only played this for 9 hours or so.) I like it that a Japanese game evolves around Chopin. You must buy this game if you enjoy good (classical) music. (Don't worry, it's not all piano and violins.)

I will definitely finish this game (probably twice, because I'm an achievement junky).

But I wouldn't have paid 30 bucks for it...

Re: RE: Worth it?
ive really enjoyed what ive played so far and im loving the story, useing Chopin (I'm listening to the nocturnes now!) as a basis for the story is odd but in a good way and i think helps it to stand out more.

The only thing i hate though is the vocals. Not so much the voices (which range from the bland to the aweful) but those HUUUUUUUUUUGE............................................pauses................................between..........................lines.

I can understand how it was done and why so as to sync with the japanese vo but come on! could it not have been tweaked for the western release? I can apreciate the beauty of the death lights fine but i don't need a half hour cut scene for them!

My ONLY gripe!

Re: Worth it?
I'm a fan of the JRPG style and play most of them that I can get.  Having said that, this is one of the slowest paced games I've ever played.  Granted I was terribly hungover, but I fell asleep playing this game.

Is it worth it?  Yes, but prepare to invest a LOT of time if you want to get everything.

What I wouldn't give for an excellent JRPG that clocks in around 20-30 hours.  I just don't have the time to invest more into a game these days, which is really sad.
