but WHY!!!!!!!!!!!???????? can i not beat Green Grass And High Tides?????????!!!!!!!?!!?!?!??

I do well on everything except solos, (which i now do decently because of how many times i've had to play it!)


I cannot do the dredded ZIGS of Solo2H and Solo2I.

any suggestions?

Save star power for the first zig zag and whammy the h**l out of the star power activation between the first and second zig zag and you should get enough star power to activate it again

i you playing on expert yea?i thats the only song in the whole thing that i failed, i beat everything else first time!! first 2 attempts i got to 85%, third attempt I got to 97%, so hopefully ill get it tomorrow! But i don't use the overdrive at all untill i absolutely need to...which is usually in the middle of the first zig-zag//then there are 3 energy sections between it and the second one...and then let loose on the OD again...i was about 2 notes from the end of the solo on my third attempt!! the main problem I have with it, is that, first of all, im using the GH guitar, so I have to strum all the notes, and secondly, Im used to the timing and hammer-on behaviour of GH, which is very different to RB..But im starting to get the hang of it!

Same boat here. Those patterns are killing me. I'm currently trying to get used to them at a slower rate in Practice mode, so maybe that's a suggestion I can pass along. It's a strange pattern to get used to, but I am finding that doing it at a slower rate is helping me adjust and learn it.

They're games people, just enjoy them! You could be stuck at work!

the main thing that helped me finally get through it was understanding how the pull offs work..in GH:WT, you had to pull-off the higher note, as the lower note was due to be hit, in RB, for hammer-ons and pull-offs, you can let your fingers off teh fret board completely, and just press the fret button as it comes...understanding that made the solo's so much easier...the g,r,y,r,g,r,y sections still nearly killed me, but it made the o,b,y,r,o,b,y,r sections easier, and thats what got me through the solo, and through the song :D

okay, first, sorry i havent replied.

since i posted i have beaten it... and heres what i did:
Practice. at work. spare time. wating for phone calls. everywhere. all the time. on my knees, elbows, pens, everything.

i just taught myself to do the zigs of h&%$ and i got it.

i know it dosen't help much to people who were as easily frustrated as i was. but that was my solution.
