Who here would like it if the Banjo series took off?
I personaly would LOVE it! It'd be good to get a more variety of games instead of just shooters. I just wish more people would buy this game. From what I have heard, the game sold a vary low amount. It's probably because of multible reasons:

1) The die hard Banjo fans won't support their so called "beloved" company cuz they don't like them testing out new things for the series.

2) Most people have never even heard about this series so they probably passed it off thinking it was some 3rd party game.

And 3) This is the xbox 360. People buy this system generally because they want to play Gears, Halo, or any other M rated game.

I just hope that one day, people will respect Rare a bit more. It'd be like Xbox's version of Mario!

Yeah Rare is very underrated nowadays. I would love to see a new Conker to have a good 3D Jump n Run on the 360.

I know, right? Take the xbox live marketplace, for example. Look at xbox's most sold list and you'll see that the banjo kazooie games are pretty far down there, BUT if you look at the highest RATED list, you'll notice that BOTH kazooie and Tooie are in the top 10!

It is probably being dropped due to a failure of sales. Did any one care to think beyond the game. This could have easily been an atempt to see if the Bear and Bird were marketable. Seems they aren't in an age of crappy shooters and waggles.
OMG!!!222!!!
IT'S STOP'N'SEQUAL!!!222!!!

Hmm, I didn't get Halo because it was rated M.  I got it because it is a good game......

But anyways, me getting off topic aside......yes, I would support it.  I'd say go and try making another Banjo game of another genre, but I'd rather see them get their fans back, and make new ones, before going through that again. (So much for my Super Smash Banjo Brawl idea)

Another idea, perhaps, they showed the original two on Arcade.  What about a current-gen remake of the two?
No, Luke. I killed Mufasa!

Regarding your last remark, that's a good idea. The game would look very good with this generation of graphics.

Well, they aready took the original games and put them on the arcade with full SnS and everything, including SnS2, so I don't think they'll remake the games ever again (unluess they go back with Nintendo sometime in the future...) This may be a little off-topic, but I want something similar to happen with another company? Anyone here ever played Spyro the Dragon? I want Universal and Insomniac to take the original three (or four) from the PlayStation, redo them, and put them onto the XBLA and Playstation Marketplaces. I LOVED that game when I was a kid. (Sorry to say this, but back then I didn't know about the BK series. Spyro and Crash Bandicoot were my two callings.)

That would also be cool, but I have a feeling that they'll sell just as many as Nuts and Bolts did. None of these types of games ever sell well on this system. I haven't seen a new Crash game on the 360 for a while now. Just wish more people would just give these games a chance.

Hmm, I've suggested Spyro and Crash before too.  However, after I re-played the originals now, I see that they are way too easy.

...Then again, Banjo was easy too.....minus the spawn from hell, Canary Mary.

Meh, I'd still like to see either a Banjo-Threeie first, though.
No, Luke. I killed Mufasa!

Yeah, even though I liked this game, I would've prefered it if they had kept with the original idea. They could still keep the vehicle aspect, but I don't want the whole game to be centered around it. It'd be cool if banjo had to make vehicles to transport him to different worlds or something.

Re: Who here would like it if the Banjo series took off?
Totally! Banjo rules and I can't get over my obsession with Jinjos. I f****** Loved the first two games and while Nuts & Bolts took some getting used to, I find myself addicted to it now just like the old days. Takes you back. With regards to the 360 market overall, yea most people are into shooters and the platforming fanbase sort of died with this crappy generation. That's probably why Rare decided to center this game around vehicles in the first place was because of that and I don't blame them. But even if they made this game like Kazooie or Tooie I don't think it would've helped their sales much. Kids nowadays just want to blow each others brains out. Don't get me wrong I like shooters too! Modern warfare 2 and the Gears games are tight but Banjo is top notch for bringing the kid out in me. PS. The way this game is colorful is pretty righteous if you noticed. Most other games make me adjust the brightness level super high...

The gaming world needs more devs like Rare.

Hopefully, if Banjo Kazooie takes off, it will encourage other developers to experiment and change their games, rather than releasing the same tripe year after year

For everyone who has posted in this forum, watch Strangerhood. It's a small machinima series by Rooster Teeth made with The Sims 2. It's either the first or second episode in particular I want you to watch, forgot which one though... When you come across this certain scene, you'll know where I'm going with this.

Re: Who here would like it if the Banjo series took off?
I thought I should also show my support.
I think Banjo-Kazooie should see another outing on the Xbox, and the idea of rare developing an xbox arcade BK platformer sounds excellent, shame its unlikely to happen. Platformer games, to my discontent, have been in decline, especially on western consoles, primarily due to the strange obsession with photorealism, in my belief. This is probably, as others have pointed out, why they changed direction with Nuts and Bolts, even though I must say N&B itself is brilliant.
I say, go Rare develop some more Banjo-Kazooie (and of course Conker) games.

Signatures are the bane of society. The lodgings of esoteric trumpery.
