Need help resetnn pass code (stupid Parents)
I got a 43 average in Science so my mom and stepdad snuck into my room and put a family timer on my account, and forgot the password now i can only play for 1 hour a day

My Account is an adult account.
Is there anyway I can reset this Pass code? (they forgot the seccurity question's answer too)

If your account is an adult account then it shouldn't have any family settings linked to it... The xbox LIVE timer is located in the family settings...

Either you don't have an adults account, or something odd has happend.

Don't bash on your parents so quickly. I'm sure they had other things on their minds when they setup the timer, like 'how is my kid gonna pass this year?'.

The Family Timer has nothing to do with the account he's using. Otherwise, he could just sign-in to a different account and the issue would be fixed. The only section that is used in Family Settings to block child accounts is the "Xbox Live Controls" area. The Family Timer is part of the "Console Controls" section, which has blocks that affect all users on the console, regardless of the type of account they're using. To reset the "Console Controls" password, your parents have to contact Xbox Customer Support by calling 1-800-469-9269 (4MY-XBOX). The reset code varies for every console and only they have the correct one for your specific system.

Let get this straight. You did not do your homework or study. So as punishment your parents are limiting your time on xbox. and now you are posting in the GAMER PARENTS forum and want help getting out punishment. Do they have a xbox live account? If so I who like to say good job. When my son got punished, we would put the controllers in our bedroom.
don't rush me I'm thinking.

When you say 43 average, do you mean 43%, as in PERCENT?

Also, you should't be thinking of your parents in that way, you will come to realise that what they do is all for your benifit, and that you should respect them for the whole of your and their lives and refrain from being disrespectful to them, if you think about it, you wouldn't be there without them, and saying things such as Stupid about them (Even behind there backs doesn't mean it is a good thing), and I find it being as worse as using profanity.

You need to "Format" you're H.D.D.. That will reset the pass code for sure. You'll find it in a sub-menu of "system settings". You may need to format your memory card, and if you have a console with internal memory, format that too. I'd tell you to ask your parents if this is a good idea, but you seem to know it all.Big Smile [:D]

Well hopefully he knows more than you... Formating the HDD will delete everything, not just the passcode. All his saved data etc...

My son is in 8th grade and about 3 weeks ago he come home with a C to C+ ave, and he lost his 360 until he can get a B ave.
In my home school is always first , the 360 is not a RIGHT but a Privilege!!!!!!!!

Good job parents for being real parents and having the gall to say NO to poor grades!!!Beer [B]

It will?! Lol. Gosh! I didn't know that!Wink [;)] One might think I took offense to his "stupid parents" remark, and WANTED him to delete everything; but, I assure you, this was not the case! I'm really a nice guy and would NEVER want THAT to happen.

O.P.! As MeanMachine47 has stated, "Formating the HDD will delete everything, not just the passcode.", you now have proof that "formatting" WILL get rid of the pass code. There may be a few small consequences, but getting rid of that pass code is the main goal. Right?
