Just wanted people to know.

If your thinking of buying this I highly recommend you ask a friend to lend you it so you can see that it isn't even worth the 10$ or 5$ it's being sold as right now. It's an old game so you'll find it cheap but there are much better games out there to play for that much money, like ShadowRun [For great multiplayer], Prey[simply for the campiagn], or just about any other game I imagine. Granted the MP is okay but as I explained you can get better deals.

The dialogue makes me want to break this game in half. The graphics are fine. The game play is like the sight of dog's vomit because of the repetitive enemies and how easy this game is [passed it on the hardest "difficulty"].

I don't know how anyone can like this game. Lost Planet 2 on the hand seems like it could be MUCH better [and I hope the story is too] but this game is trash, give Lost planet 2 a chance but part 1 can rest at the very bottom of a pile of garbage.

I think you will find most enjoy this game for the online play not the game, yeah i give you it that the game was not that good, i only played it so i knew how things worked, but the online play can be hard and fun if you play with mates.

Give it a try, just watch out for pc players, there the once running around the maps faster than everyone else  and  you cant kill and they have unlimited amo

Ok... I agree that this game is a bit boring to play and was about to trade it in at EB Games but when I jumped online....wow really cool.

I ve been playing the game online since it first came out and its still alot of fun with a huge cult following.

btw.... LP is not a cross-platform game so you wont find yourself up against a laggin quantum singularity pc player. The cross-platform only apllies to Colonies, and hopefully not LP2 when it finally arrives.

But he is commenting on the colonies as this is the forum for colonies, sobeing  he has this version yes he will find him self sometimes up against pc players

You should play Samurai Warriors 2, that'll fit all those requirements and exceed them in my opinion.  X-Blades is also pretty awful and Enchanted Arms has some cringing dialogue.  Also those games look like they were quick ports from the Xbox, except for X-Blades I suppose.  In all honesty the Online multiplayer in LP and LP:C is my favorite aspect and I enjoy it a bit more than most online MP games.  But you passed it on the hardest difficulty?

The MP is pretty decent... Its fun but only for a while for ME personally. Still like any MP I suppose you can always come back and play it , its enjoyable enough to play again after letting a while pass. I don't know why your mentioning all those other games but ... w/e LP game part one sucks is all I'm saying and I can't understand how anyone can like it. I had fun with it only the first 3-5 enemies I killed [after the green eye monster intro] the greatest thing about this game are the huge boss monsters which last about 5-15 minutes to kill but that's it.. that's the ONLY good things I can say about this game.. everything else feels like I'm going down a tiolet.

I usually like to finish any game so I can well see it all. I swear I was trying to like this game... the demo got my hopes way up like it was going to be the next most aweosme game ever and as usual I put up the most difficult settings because thats the ONLY way I like it. Not sure but I think I had to unlock it, it was a long time ago but I still remember its suckiness. It was fairly easy on the most difficult settings...but don't think I have the achievement to prove it because I changed my gamertag... like completely with a different e-mail address so yeah. Hell I bet I could pass again... I might... just so I write about how crap this game is... in better detail >_> it'll be painful but I just might do it. Two reasons I haven't sold this game already was because my strange strange little brother liked this game and wanted to get all the achievements and pass it too... and second reason is cause I was so distracted by other games, awesome games that I didn't notice this game at the bottom of my game pile until about a month ago when my aunt used it to cover up some lights that came from electronics [Antenna, Internet Modem] so she can sleep. She asked me if it was okay and I said yeah that game sucks. lolz

Bottomline... campiagn is worst I ever played, haven't played all the games but it's the worst xbox 360 game I played, MP is exceptional [end]

I absolutely love the campaign. Great boss battles and this is one of those rare games that actually lives up to its difficulty name. Extreme. It sure was.

Also the multiplayer is really fun.

The only thing that bothers me about the campaign is that it doesnt focus on certain characters like the first one, it seems more openly focused on a group. We wil lsee though it might surprise me.

... There was nothing extreme about extreme mode.... all they did was lower your thermal energy down to 1000 which is STUPID. If the A.I. was actually good, this would be awesome but since it wasn't it was just annoying trying to conserve every bit of thermal energy from retarded enemies and if you got hit a couple times, it might mean starting the level over again because well you'll die at the boss part simply because your thermal energy drains down by itself (which is a retarded idea too)

Repetitive enemies and retarded A.I. .... the only interesting enemies to fight are the Mechs, the rest are just plain out stupid to fight. You can actually, usually, just walk right pass em , shooting/knowcking them down and not fight em and well I sometimes didn't even bother and walked on through the campaign without ever fighting em. So no I'm not retarded, but this game sure is. How about making the enemies worth fighting and make them actually stop me from walking pass them. When I played on extreme mode, I expect 1 or a few mistakes to take my life not slowling eventually find out that a few mistakes in the beginning = me not passing the level at the very end. It was frustrating/annoying to find that out, not a satisfying difficult accomplishment. At the end, I said, I'm glad that crap is over... not dam this game is awesomely difficult =]...

Okay, the boss fights were good, I'll give the game that and the MP is alright too, not good enough to keep me away from the average MP though. It's worth playing only when your bored of other MP online games.

I really wanted to like this game when I first played it. Lost Planet 2 on the other hand LOOKS like a huge improvement... I really hope it is, they are actually using the potential of the game there.

thats the problem with games today. thats a ridiculous reason to enjoy a game. whatever happened to the deep storys and shocking endings...*sigh*

I prefer both, online and a good campaign... like Halo 3, Gow 2, Quake 4 etc etc. Online gaming is half the game in my eyes but the campaign for this game pisses me off too much...

Also, all the characters are asian... except 1 white guy.... kind of racist.
