Do a lot of people play online still? I love WWII shooters so i really want to get this game but not if theres no online.

Its an older game and suffers from lack of players. If you try and play on the weekends you might get more lucky in getting a game. I just played 4 games. During the week I couldn't find a game. MP is typical deathmatch or team deathmatch or a capture the flag type game call objective airborne. Games are usually 2vs2. I picked this game up cheap and therefore it was a good buy. Otherwise I suggest you go for COD4, 5 or 6. Really the parachuting aspect is about the only new thing to a shooter. Single player is fun although I found the hit detection a little bit suspect at times.

Yeah unfortunately it's really quiet these days, back in the day there were much bigger matches.  What was really great about it was that one team spawns in planes over the map and then parachute down.  It kept things really dynamic and mobile.  The single player is still really good.  There's only 6 levels but they're quite extensive and very replayable as you can approach them in any order you want, literally parachuting down wherever you please.

Getting killed by parachuting in is nowhere near as bad as the people who play Remagen for the sole purpose of getting on roofs and spawn killing you over and over and over.  If done correctly, they can exploit the game to force you to spawn in the same spot over and over, and the only chance you stand is them running out of ammo.

When you spawn, the enemies see you before your screen shows them, and so you simply have no chance at all.  Most of the time this happens, you are dead as soon as the screen loads.

True that. Some games are fun but there are those that exploit this issue and the gaming population on MOH isn't large so unfortunately you tend to get matched with them a fair bit.

I'll probably never play this game again once I get my last achievement for this reason.
