just finished mentor and started on MN and was looking for any heads up in first 2 chapters.  Im wondering how many farmed the spot in Ch 1 where you jump across the bars and land on lower walkway, farmed it on mentor but not sure how tight MN is on essence.  I am finding Ch 1 not too bad so far.  Any advice or tips about MN are appreciated, focusing on hardest challenges.  Thanks

Hey Ginaz congrats on beating Mentor, well done man. As for the early MN chapters there's no real advice to offer, you pretty much learned all you need on your Mentor run.

On my 1st MN run I farmed about 100k at the canal before the spot you mentioned but found I really didn't need to. If you're wise with item use I certainly wouldn't bother farming more than that amount, it was handy for levelling the Lunar and that was about all. Once you hit Ch3 you will be making good essence. Thanks for the good advice, bro. Helped my mentor run a lot.  Im an old man so this game is about sheer will as opposed to skill in my case.  MN is the real deal, no doubt.  As far as your farm spot was it the place where you can respawn the archers on the path that leads down to the walkways, a tree on your right as you go down? I never tried to farm there but seems like an ok spot.  Still getting used the the pace of MN, not sure if I can even attempt farming yet, the Ch 1 learning curve is taking me longer to this time.  
 

The farm spot I used is the small steps leading to the path with the Archers. As long as the Archers are alive you can infinitely spawn 2 Grey Ninja and it's about as safe a spot as you'll find, just walk up and down the top couple of steps, then wait round the corner on the canal path to charge and UT them both, rinse and repeat. If you take damage just kill a few normally to force blue essence.

The pace and difficulty curve does go up on MN but I feel it's not as harsh as the jump from Warrior to Mentor and it does settle down after the first few chapters, still isn't easy though. Stick with it man and show the young 'uns how it's done. As for being an old man I'm no spring chicken either mate, a lot closer to 40 than I am 30 that's for sure!

yea closer to 40 myself, but wisdom has its benefits.  now I gotta as another noob question, while you are farming at that place if I go back and save is it going to despawn the archers or grey ninjas?  I want to get lunar to lvl 3 and a TalofRebrth maybe a few grand in petty cash too.  Dont want to save and quit and have them despawned when I come back for more. I like having items and cash as a fallback, I rarely use them like to waste my time restarting and doing areas hurt free, still nice for peace of mind.  Salute

I know they won't despawn by saving while playing, not sure about saving and quitting out though as I did my farming in one session and moved on to the next save point, it bored the hell out of me so I just got it done asap. Maybe start a game on Acolyte and test it out before you commit on your MN save.
