I really should start keeping track of who is looking to boost, everytime I think to check the person has "pro" as there group. I find that amusing that these so called pros can't even get simple achievements.

Re: shadowrun achievement game
Every achievement except a couple (that most people will probably never get) is obtainable in this game by simply playing the game as normal.  Plenty of people are still playing on the PC as well, the reason hardly any of them announce it is because of peoples desire to play with/kill them in game.  Just play the game.

Re: shadowrun achievement game
why is it so important for people to boost?  what can bragging rights to completing them by cheating have any value to a person?

Seriously, if you can't get them via regular play, casual or focused, or just don't have the patience, why not just man up and admit you can't get them.  It's not a big frelling deal.

I guess it's just me, I don't get it.

No pro means you play fair, respect other players and want to win by fair means rather than dubious means (Im underground because I cant help but end up in trash talking arguements lol)

Actually yes you are, it also shows when you type just so you know. The reason you're obviously lazy is because you want to boost instead of playing the game normally. I don't understand how people don't see it as lazy, cheating nonsense. You didn't actually kill 100 vista players, why should your account say you did? As for my own achievements, they are what they are. I play the game to have fun and if I get the achievements all the better. Also I suck with the sniper rifle, big deal.

It is not the same kind of satisfaction, actually earning it means you achieve it. Boosting makes it meaningless. You have no point, you're just a lazy cheater. At least man up and admit it.

Hard to believe you went you are openly boosting in this topic. That goes along with my point about boosting ruining the whole system, no one can trust anyones achievements.

Hold on if you play for fun why bother with boosting the achievements then ? Also isnt the point of an achievement to achieve something, as killing 100 people who dont fight back, is hardly an achievement.

one of my points in this though is that that achievement that i was going to boost was the last of two achievements i needed so i just wanted to max out the gamerscore in shadowrun and be done with it...is that so wrong to do?

It really isn't, these guys are just feeling really self righteous today. You payed for the game, you should play it however you want. Nobody posts for boosting on these forums anymore because people keep whining about it. Here's how you get people to boost with:

-Play Shadowrun during peak hours (usually Fridays from 6:00pm - 2:00am EST) until your recent players list from Shadowrun hits 50.
-Wait for a boosting invite to drop in your inbox, if such an invite is not sent make one yourself and send it to your whole list
-Of the 50 people on your list you will probably get just enough to boost
-Please do this in a private game, boosting in public gets peoples panties in a bunch

Good Luck :)

Re: shadowrun achievement game
It's funny how people try to justify cheating. I PAID FOR MY GAME I CAN CHEAT IF I WANT TO!!1 Thankfully Bungie is smart enough to take action against this behaviour, I wish other companies would get on the ball and clean up xboxlive live gaming.

Sorry, cheating is cheating and people who do it should realize that. Also we don't get our panties in a bunch because people boost in public games, we can mad because boosting in public ruins everyone elses game(which they also paid for) so some selfish loser can boost meaningless achievements. Get it? If you can't actually earn an achievement then you don't deserve it, got that too? It's pretty simple really it's called fair play.

Sorry but If no-one pointed out how stupid boosting was on this game, this forum would fill up quicker with so many people boosting it for gamerscore, and as theres a half decent community here none of us want to see it turn into an achievement *** game.

big community =/= good community
though the community here might seem small but its a good one, also if people are driven away by people discouraging boosters then seriously would they actually want to be sociable or would they just want to keep saying.

I actually think that they could be more sociable if you just gave them a chance. After you've boosted for achievements, what's left to do but play the game for real. I don't think that boosting even has to be as subtle as this.

Public boosting drives me crazy, you know the people who immediately buy smoke then pester everybody for rocket money. If they already got the achievement with their friends, they wouldn't need to bother anyone else..

This is not what the OP was doing, he was asking about private boosting, what drives people so crazy about private boosting anyway? Nobody has answered that in either thread.

its the whole asking to bbst in the forum thats the problem, if you go into many of the older game forums then you see nothing but people asking to boost, also OP said he just wanted the last 2 acheivements so he can be done with the game, its hardly going to add to the community if OP boosts then leaves or infact any booster, as many turn up for the achievement boosting then sell the game right after, its hardly going to grow the community here.

Nice try but no, boosters will not stick around and actually play. A small number might for a short time but the majority of booster just boost games and move on, because they're stupid like that.
