EA College Basketball League
This wil be a league that will be very active,
very organized, as well as very competitive. To make sure of this, the
league will not start until December 26th, just to be sure that
everyone is able to practice, and we are able to get everything
organized. This will be a 20-22 team league. I may not get the game
until the beginning of December, because my XBOX is going to be sent
into Microsoft. Once I get it back, however, This league will begin. I
have ran very successful leagues before on games such as NBA 2K8,
College Hoops 2K8, NBA Live 08, as well as many other video games. I
had one of top rated leagues on College Hoops 2K8 about three times. So
I know how to run a league. Also, I am looking for help, because I
cannot do this alone, so I am looking for two or three people to help
me set up schedule, rules, game times, etc. These are the rules of the
league thus far, the initial rules:
1. Must play all your games on time.
2. Must not disconnect or you will be considered for suspension or even permanently removed from league.
3. Must not cheat or use any kind of glitches in game.
4. If any problem occurs, must report to me or one of league supervisors to settle problem.
With that in mind, this will be the format of league:
1. 34 game season
2. Eight teams will make playoffs (subject to change due to possible interest level.)
3. Each team will play 3 preseason games. Games are not required,
however, they are highly recommended because they will help you adapt
to possible league competition.
4. Each team will play 2-4 games each week.
5. Any tie-breakers will be determined by head-to-head results. If
no such thing if available (teams did not play each other in regular
season), one-game playoff will be held to determine who goes to the
playoffs.
6. If three-way tie occurs, either head-to-head results will be
determined, or, if not available, point differential over course of
regular season will determine who goes to one-game playoff and who is
left out.
7. Playoffs will be held; starting approximately three days after final regular season game (24 hours after one-game playoff)
8. The plan is to get the Championship game on a Saturday Night or
Sunday Afternoon/Evening. So, for example, if the playoffs started on a
Monday, the Quarter-Finals would be held that day, with the Semi-Finals
on Thursday, and, the losers of Semi-Finals playing each other for
third place on Friday night, with the championship game being held the
following day.
9. After the championship game, the champion gets to eliminate one (1) person from League
10. The next season will start within a matter of months. Also,
for now, I will run this league on freewebs.com, but if the league is
able to expand even more, then I will consider getting a "real" website
and the league will be available there.
