Before I got Omega Five, I kept hearing about how Retro Mode just made the game look like older arcade games. I expected Forced thick scanlines, like those that are seen in SNES and Sega Genesis emulators.

But then I finally unlock the mode for myself, and not only is the look something I completly didn't expect, but it appears the music is also Remixed/Put through a sound filter to make it sound like SNES style midi tunes.

That's pretty cool! Did noone else notice the change in the music? The sound of the instruments really takes me back to playing games like Brawl Brothers/Rushing Beat and more appropiately, classic shooters.

It's little things like this mode and the earning of credits that truly makes this seem like an old-school game with the proper amount of new-school sensabilities. If only all XBLA games where this well concieved...

Yeah, I noticed it too, but I just don´t like Retro Mode. I prefer playing normally

Anyway, I thought it was easier to see shots and enemies.

Man I forgot about that. I unlocked it but never bothered to try. Im gonna check this *** out!

 What else is unlockable?

 I am not that good at this game... I can't get very far.
