GTA IV's 'blur' effect.
Hi! I was wondering if anyone else is annoyed of the so called 'motion blur' effect in GTA IV? On the PC platform, you can disable it, but on the Xbox 360, you just can't. If it was actual 'motion' blur, I'd be happy, but on GTA IV, the whole environment is always blurred, which drastically reduces the level of detail. Would be great if Rockstar released a patch for the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV, to disable this nasty blur.

The new DLC (The Ballad of *** Tony) don't have this blur.

Oh, that's good. I'll definitely buy it sometime, just because it has parachutes. :D

If you are talking about the Grainy effect, which does make things kinda fuzzy I guess, you can turn that off so it is a bit better if you haven't done so already. I complained about it while playing on line and someone in the game told us how to do it. My X-BOX is off to Texas for the "Ring of Death" Repair so I can't use it do give you directions. I had to go to Start and select options and from there I can't remember. lol But it is doable if that helps. Just got to find it.

As far as I know, you can only disable it on the PC version of the game, since there's only the "Contrast, Brightness, Gamma" options available in the video settings menu of GTA IV (Xbox 360).

Also, I don't think GTA IV (Original) has any grain effects, other than the motion blur. TLaD has some sort of a grain effect that can be turned off. I'm not sure if you meant the expansion or the original game.
